Some of them are obviously bogus, but a couple do point out the craziness of both liberals and conservatives. Try turning a few of them around to determine what conservatives believe:

If guns are outlawed, only outlaws will have guns, but if abortions are outlawed, they'll disappear.

Teaching children about safe gun handling in school will make them responsible gun handlers, but teaching children about safe sex in school would lead to increased promiscuity, pregnancy and disease.

Well lets look at this bit of reasoning.

1.A. seems to make sense if you pass a law in which a huge portion of the population would not abide by... it stands to reason only outlaws would own guns as now the criminal element and

the once law abiding are now in the same camp.

(some people make this same argument with pot)

B. Abortions, nobody claims outlawing them would make them disappear. We outlaw murder and it's still around too.

2 A.Teaching children about safe gun handling was actually part of the school day at one time in our country. I think it could be proved, children who are properly trained and familiar with guns power tools or cars are more likely to be safer in handling them.

B. How children will react to the teaching of sex... depends on the the lesson that's taught.

Seeing that Clinton inherited a 7.5% unemployment rate from the elder Bush while W inherited a 4% unemployment rate from Clinton, it's easy to see why the rate of 5.6% is viewed as an accomplishment for one but not for the other.
