In the South, Blacks and Whites have always lived close together; they are used to each other. In the North, they mostly kept separate and are still getting used to each other. I have found the North to be more racist than the South because they tend to be covert and sneaky about it. At least, in the South, I always knew where I stood.

Actually VW...I think that's a very accurate statement.

Whereas in most of the Southern states, dark skin and light skin Americans typically share neighborhoods;

in Chicago there are still neighborhoods that are quite segregated.

However, while hidden racism may be more prevalent in the North, it's not entirely absent in the South.

"Choose" is a accurate word. There has been a huge "reverse migration" of blacks from the North down to the south, of late.

Pardon me while I help with a few corrections here.

First of all, I believe you intended to say that "Choose is AN accurate word".

You should never use "A" before a word that begins with a vowel. Instead you should use "AN".

Also, when you use the word black to describe a color, it is lower case, but when you use it as a pronoun to describe

a specific group of people, it should be capitalized, as in "Black".

The same way one would capitalize your name if they were to say, "Danno you are a racist son of a ######".

Hope this clears up some things around here.

Thanks for the English lesson (no really), generally you add something substance... what held you back this time?

:wow: VW and I agree on something!! There is actually a study on this topic and the data suggests that the south is more honest than the north concerning their racial attitudes.

I love how Aficionado takes offense to the redneck stereotype but he gave a  to the OP's ridiculous list of liberal stereotypes. Hypocrisy is a biotch!

Well every freakin liberal clown I know believes in most of that ####### and sees nothing wrong with it.

The difference between the two is that one is racist the other is not. 'N----r' to me is a culture so do I get to use it like others throw around the word redneck.

Both (redneck & liberal) are stereotypes, which by definition are comprised of exaggerations & half-truths. The only real difference is that you take offense to one & condone the other. As for equating redneck to the N word like I said before they are both derogatory, but not on the same level (the N word is more offensive & directly related to race, while redneck is associated with whites but only a certain group of whites so it's not purely racial in nature).

Right is right. I apologize. I was obviously expressing content for posts (or yours) in other topics, and your post came as a mere needle to break the camel's back. Again, I apologize. That said, while I usually do not agree with you on this board, I appreciate the insight I gain from reading your posts.

It was interesting to watch Bill Maher last night and see how many times he called the American people stupid because they basically do not conform to his personal views. Probably around six times during his one show. That is on top of his constant attacks and intolerance of anyone with religious views. I also liked his segment on how liberals will leave the country if John McCain is elected. Go leave then and find me all of these places that support the American liberal view. Liberals are certainly in for a big surprise.

Bill Maher's prejudiced views make Bill O'Reilly look pale in comparison but hey he is not on Fox news. So he could say blow up churches and kill conservatives and I am sure there will be open-minded, tolerant, liberals who will cheer at the comments.

According to the Internal Revenue Service, the 400 richest American households earned a total of $US138 billion, up from $US105 billion a year earlier. That's an average of $US345 million each, on which they paid a tax rate of just 16.6 per cent.

Find anyone anywhere who would support such a view? No, then I suggest you take your smear campaign elsewhere. I have no clue who Bill Maher is, nor what he represents and I certainly cant imagine why anyone would leave the US just because McCain was elected but to bait the moderates on this board with more of the same old ####### is just beyond the pail. No one supports blowing up churches or killing conservatives. Period.

So why talk about something you have not seen. Keep your silly mouth shut and move along.

Selective quoting doesn't work BY. I precisely bolded the part I was objecting to, the thing that you said personally. I saw that with my very own eyes. You put words into someones mouth and I called you a baiter because of it. That's it.

That wouldn't be like making someone out to be a racist now? ;)

I've only seen Bill Maher once & although he seems to exaggerate his views for effect he was essentially correct. During the show he and the others on the show were ripping into the McCain campaign and 100% of what he said was true (basically saying McCain has run a dishonest, dirty campaign which anyone with a hint of objectivity would agree with).

Of course right wingers take offense to Maher's comments & that's because the truth tends to hurt. The right wingers blame the democrats, blame the media, stir up ####### & then cry like a baby when someone objects to their antics. The one thing right wingers never do is take responsibility for their actions. As it turns out being arrogant & close minded isn't the best combination.

First of all I support Obama and don't support McCain for the reasons you mentioned. What I absolutely do not support is the growing hatred by liberals (not Democrats) in this country towards others they disagree with. Especially those with religious views.

I can see precisely how open-minded liberals like Bill Maher are. The tolerance he has for those people with differing views deserves a noble prize. No seriously, just ask another drug abusing liberal. A good example of this is his constant belittling and attacking of Americans who don't agree with him, aka non-liberals. As a foreigner it is not surprising anymore why conservatives call liberals anti-American. For a start I have never ever head a liberal in Australia even suggest 1/1,000,000th of the #### American liberals say about others and this country.

You claim conservatives are the cry babies. This #### gets funnier by the year. What is the ratio of liberal protests / rallies to that of conservatives. Don't confuse catching out liberal hypocrisy, and double standards, for crying or whining.

Instead of tossing out the label 'liberal' how about confining your comments to specific incidents or specific people. The label as you apply it is at best vague as it doesn't conform to any generally accepted definition of the term and at worst insulting because of the difficulty of pinning down exactly who/what you are objecting to.

I also think you might have a rather confused definition of what tolerance actually means. Tolerance is not the same as to like. Tolerance is acceptance of things whether you like them or not. For example, unless they violate your personal rights and freedoms you are expected to tolerate 'liberals' in the USA.
