I realize I am grasping here-I am just really anxious to get my man here. He has to go & give fingerprints because he was denied entry last year. I know a few people (gimnygirl) had to do something similar. I am just trying to figure out when his interview may be. They have his fingerprints already(Philly & Dublin when he applied for a b-2 last year).

any ideas how long we may have to wait? Also our noa2 expires 7/7/06-they will automatically extend that for him right?

So any words of wisdom? besides be patient ;)

Thanks guys!

Hey Irish

I cant help you with your question re scheduling the interview but all is fine as far as the expiry date of the petition

What if my petition expires?

Consular officers have the authority to extend the validity of petitions that have expired. Because many petitions often expire before an applicant can be interviewed, officers at the Consulate routinely extend the validity of K-1 petitions

When I realized that he may not get interviewed by the cancel date of 7/7/06, I asked them & they said they can extend it. I will have Gavin mention it when he goes on the 12th. I assume that is something they do automatically.

I am just praying that they won't keep him waiting too long-a few weeks or a month would be really nice. I miss him so bad(even though I just got back from a visit last week).

Thanks guys!

We were notified on May 12, that we had to have our fingerprints done on May 17 because of denied entry also. At the fingerprints appt. the consulate told us that they would call us as soon as the prints had cleared to schedule an interview. No news yet. Have read everything I can on this and really know nothing. The process can take 2 hours, 2 days, 2 weeks, 2 months or 2 years. Well we have passed 2 weeks so I guess we are going for 2 months. Had an attorney tell us this was a typical approach and it should not take more than 2 to 3 months. Our approved I-129 expires on August 11.

Hope your process goes quick.

Thanks ;)

I have heard that Dublin is fairly quick & efficient(although I realize the prints will be coming here to the ridiculously slow US). I have heard of people waiting 1 to 6 months...............we have been through sooooooooo much & I pray that we won't have to wait another year. We are ready to move on.

It didn't help that he had to wait 2 months before they could even see him-which is absurd. So we have been sitting around doing nothing while our case is sitting there. Our noa2 expires 7/7/06.

Hope you hear something soon!
