I am ready to send off my K-1 package, but cannot find information about when I submit my income tax forms to prove income qualification.

I tried the search function on this forum without success.

I remember that the requirement is 125% of the federal poverty level, but don't know when that information is to be submitted (I'm self-employed, so do not have payroll stubs).

Can someone help me?

You prove income qualification with an Affidavit of Support. This is not required for the initial K-1 filing.

You will need to fill out a I-134 (Affidavit of Support), have it notarized, and mail it to your fiance(e) after you receive your NOA2 (approval). This form will ask for information regarding your income, assets, etc.

Good luck!
