So sorry about the job Tasha. I'm afraid that my husband's gonna bail on his soon but I keep reminding him of the importance of finding a NEW job before he leaves the OLD one. Basically his supervisor is an azz and has fired about 4 people since he started the job!!!

Amal what happened to your husband to make him in this condition? Was it a car accident?

Good morning everyone else :) I have my surgical consultation this afternoon so inshallah I will be operated on sometime this week. It's really getting bad where I'm waking up three times during the night from the pain and throwing up at least once daily. :(

He was in a car accident about a week ago. He was hit head on by someone who slid accross the road into his lane. His head hit the steering wheel and he sprained his neck. The doc in the ER was stupid and even though we insisted that his airbag didn't deploy properly he said that hubsters head couldn't have possibly hit the steering wheel. He didn't listen and released us after about 20 minutes. Oh well, we at least have it on record that the ER saw him shortly after the wreck. He has since gone to a specialist to be evaluated and he immediately told hubster that he needed an MRI coz his eye didn't look right. He also hooked him up to the electric shock machine (he didn't know which one it was) and said that the muscles in his shoulders and back were definitely messed up. He's always had an issue with stress knots but these are unlike any he's ever had before and much more painful. *sigh* I do feel bad for him.

Anybody here work for insurance companies? They only gave him a rental car for 72 hours which is by far not long enough for him to get another vehicle and on top of that, he hasn't gotten the insurance money yet to be able to afford a new one. Does anyone know why it was only 72 hours and if that can be extended?

Brig, I sure hope they get u fixed up soon coz that pain is nothing to sniff at. Keep us updated and I'll be prayin' for ya.

Also, Tasha, I meant to say earlier that I'm so glad ur feeling better! Strep is a beeyotch!!!

Hi Amal,

I do work for an Insurance company mainly handling the Bodily Injury portion of the claims. I am in IL and I handle MO, IN and some TX claims.

I don't know what state you are in... Most insurance companies pay on a rental reimbursement basis. Meaning you rent the vehicle...they will pay up to a certain amount per day and once the claim is finished and your vehicle has either been repaired or totaled out, you would present the rental bill to them for reimbursement at that time. Some companies provide a rental vehicle as a courtesy if the accident appears to be the fault of the person they insure, but they are not obligated to do so. Some companies can also do a direct bill to the rental company and you would not have to come out of pocket at all. I would suggest contacting them to see if they will either extend it, do a direct bill or find out what they pay per day for rentals on a reimbursement basis. If you have any questions, you can PM and I can try to provide additional information.

LOVE IS UNIVERSAL!

Good afternoon Mena :) I hope that you all had a great weekend and are having a much better Monday than I've had!

I was on my way to work this morning, minding my own business and for some reason the powers that be thought a car accident would be a great way to start the day off! I was cruising along route one north bound (a few miles south of the Christiana Mall for my Delaware gals) and traffic started to back up and slow down near the route 40 exit as it does every morning and I slowed down, and the guy in front of me braked really hard, so I braked as well. I stopped, no problems, and the girl behind me stopped though I was sure she wasn't going to make it, but thankfully she did. However the jeep behind her wasn't paying attention and he rammed her at about 50 mph and then knocked her into me. Thank god everyone was okay. My car sustained some minor damage to the rear area, scratches, dings, paint chips and scuffs on the bumper and the exhaust seems to be a bit loose though I don't know how serious of an issue that is. The car is drivable anyway. The jeep had nothing at all on his car (go figure, guy causes accident and gets out scott free) and the girl in the middle, well her car looked bad but she was fine again thank god! I just have to say Geico is amazing. As far as insurance companies go I really do love them. I called in the claim, they were super nice, saying it's not your fault, etc and got the information from me and then said we are going to call Nationwide for you and take care of everything, as they are responsible for paying for your damage, although you can go through your own policy with us, after your deductible if you want, blah blah. But it was just nice to not have that hassle and not have to call Nationwide myself. The girl even called me back (from Geico) 10 minutes later and gave me the skinny on what Nationwide said.

On a happier note, we went to a Fall Fest on Saturday and really did have a blast. I'm not sure who had more fun Jihed or Aaron  Hubster is a big kid! :luv: I love Autumn

Pick a Pumpkin to paint and hold it up so we know you all got one ( I have a huge family)

Hi All I hope everyone is having a wonderful monday!! I spent the day sleeping after working a 12 hour night shift...........yippeee!!

Sweet peach I believe the drivers license thing varies from state to state. I just recently went to get a license with my new name on it and they are requiring more documents in my state, but I think its federal thing even. Your husband will need some documentation of his address or you (yourself as his wife) may have to fill out an affidatif stating that is his new address. He can also use his passport as proof of who he is. Your best bet is too look online for the dmv in your state......Goodluck!

The car rental should be covered by the others issurance, that is if it was the other drivers fault. They cannot legally leave you without a vehicle and put you out like that unless your husband was at fault. It sounds like it was the other drivers fault so I would contact your insurance company or the other driver's insurance company. They are famous for playing games like this because they are hoping you will not look into it or put up a fight. Don't let them get away with that.....they need to give you a rental till your car is fixed or you have another one.

Happy Monday everyone. :D

My habibi made it here with little issues. His flight from Amman was about 30 minutes late. Didnt have a single issue in immigrations. He said they didnt ask him anything at all. He said the officer was very nice and stamped his passport with a work stamp before he could even ask.

Does anyone know if he can get his liecense now or does he have to wait untile he gets his SS#??

congrats!!!! where was his POE? not sure about the drivers license thing
