Happy Monday everyone. :D

My habibi made it here with little issues. His flight from Amman was about 30 minutes late. Didnt have a single issue in immigrations. He said they didnt ask him anything at all. He said the officer was very nice and stamped his passport with a work stamp before he could even ask.

Does anyone know if he can get his liecense now or does he have to wait untile he gets his SS#??

So sorry about the job Tasha. I'm afraid that my husband's gonna bail on his soon but I keep reminding him of the importance of finding a NEW job before he leaves the OLD one. Basically his supervisor is an azz and has fired about 4 people since he started the job!!!

Amal what happened to your husband to make him in this condition? Was it a car accident?

Good morning everyone else :) I have my surgical consultation this afternoon so inshallah I will be operated on sometime this week. It's really getting bad where I'm waking up three times during the night from the pain and throwing up at least once daily. :(

He was in a car accident about a week ago. He was hit head on by someone who slid accross the road into his lane. His head hit the steering wheel and he sprained his neck. The doc in the ER was stupid and even though we insisted that his airbag didn't deploy properly he said that hubsters head couldn't have possibly hit the steering wheel. He didn't listen and released us after about 20 minutes. Oh well, we at least have it on record that the ER saw him shortly after the wreck. He has since gone to a specialist to be evaluated and he immediately told hubster that he needed an MRI coz his eye didn't look right. He also hooked him up to the electric shock machine (he didn't know which one it was) and said that the muscles in his shoulders and back were definitely messed up. He's always had an issue with stress knots but these are unlike any he's ever had before and much more painful. *sigh* I do feel bad for him.

Anybody here work for insurance companies? They only gave him a rental car for 72 hours which is by far not long enough for him to get another vehicle and on top of that, he hasn't gotten the insurance money yet to be able to afford a new one. Does anyone know why it was only 72 hours and if that can be extended?

Brig, I sure hope they get u fixed up soon coz that pain is nothing to sniff at. Keep us updated and I'll be prayin' for ya.

Also, Tasha, I meant to say earlier that I'm so glad ur feeling better! Strep is a beeyotch!!!

Well I'm a sh!tty driver so I have had a LOT of experience with rentals. lol. Usually my insurance only covers like $25/day and I have to foot the bill for the rest. I keep thinking I"ll raise the limit when it's time to renew my policy but I never do. Anyways I have never heard of limiting the days that I get it unless perhaps 72 hours is when his total benefit runs out. Either way it shouldn't matter though since it wasn't his fault right? What does his insurance company say? As for when you see the $$$ all the times I've gotten into accidents, the rental place deals with the insurance so they get direct payment and you just have to pay them the difference.

I always think to write this and then I forget...........does anyone else have the problem with their husbands wanting a feast every dinner time? Breakfast he has a cookie, lunch he could care less but when I try to pass off something that includes less then like 7 dishes of food on the table for dinner he gets all mopey. He'd never outright complain 'cause that's just not him but when I push him he says that he's never eaten anything like that for dinner before.

Let me explain....in my house we normally will have a big bowl of chili, or chicken soup, etc. with some bread on the side and call it a dinner. To him that's not ok...soup is just a side dish to keep you warm. Also I've been making a lot of dishes lately where I saute meat, veggies and then add broth and rice so all the meat/veggies/rice is in one dish. This results in a very confused and sad look from the hubster. I try to explain that it all gets combined in the stomach anyways so what is the big deal and besides this way I save in having to do a million dishes, but still the sad puppy dog face is what I get.

Is this an Egyptian thing or a MENA thing?

Just stopping in to say hi and good morning to everyone. I hope to hear good news this week from my mena family inshallah. (F)

I'm still waiting on the California service center to transfer my already approved I-130 to NVC.(It was approved back in November 2007). It took them only a day to cash my $340.00 check after receiving the I-824 but its been almost 2 months and still haven't heard anything about them transfering my approved petition yet. USCIS say they are trying their hardest to get all of us reunited with our loved ones quickly as they can when in fact they are just trying their hardest to take our money for all the fees and the new fee increases as quickly as they can.

I call the NVC everyday and I keep hearing "We have no record of that case number blah blah blah....." You guys don't know how many times I have almost thrown my cell phone after hearing that same annoying message

Anyways I'm hoping this week will be the week I hear some good news but I'm not going to hold my breathe (the shade of purple and blue does not look good on me)

Good Morning Friends

I am glad that you are feeling better Tasha. I am sorry for your unfortunate news, keep your chins UP!

Stashi..didnt know you were preggers..congrats...may you have a happy healthy pregnancy.

Our morning forum seems to get smaller and smaller lately.

Jackie..omg thanks for the coffee...I NEEDED IT!!!!

Our girl Deb got their visa, no? CONGRATULATIONS!! What a beautiful feeling...I hope that is a good sign for the rest of still waiting.

It is hard to believe it is near the end of October. I am praying that I may attain the funds I need to visit my husband over Christmas...it is just getting too hard now without him. We need a miracle...I need my life. I am just too down in the dumps about this separation. God help us.

Certainly the warm weather is pretty much gone...cold is rolling right in...we turned the heat on in the office this morning.

Everytime I talk to an operator they say wait 30 days then now wait 60 days and I know they will say ok you have to wait 90 days then they will look into the matter. I even emailed them a copy of my approved I-130 and a copy of my $340.00 check they cashed after receiving my I-824. It's frustrating that nobody there seems to care or want to help....I will put this in gods hands now and inshallah I will hear some good news soon.
