Home Depot.... probably kinda scarry place first time, but ask one of the guys who works there and they will get you everything you need - you even get the wood there. Just tell them about your project and they will tell you what you need

mmmmm (L) HOME DEPOT (L) - i love that place. This summer while hubby was away I did some apt. improvements - just wish had more time, tools and money...

I have a little more time to get ready...since my procrastinating husband just booked his ticket...he won't be here til Nov 5th..maybe I will make something similar for my room.

I have seen some similar things done in a magazine that Better Homes and Gardens puts out called "Do It Yourself".

Lisa - I am curious about the pleats....I have the idea down ok but don't understand how you got the pleats in there without any staples showing...whats your secret? haha

You have some great ideas...thanks!

Deb :star:

Deb,

Since you cant see the back of it.. i just stapled them right to the wood.

Ya, rajaa you can find staple guns almost anywhere. Walmart even carries them i think.

Have fun!

"you fondle my trigger then you blame my gun"

Timeline: 13 month long journey from filing to visa in hand

If you were lucky and got an approval and reunion with your loved one rather quickly; Please refrain from telling people who waited 6+ months just to get out of a service center to "chill out" or to "stop whining" It's insensitive, and unecessary. Once you walk a mile in their shoes you will understand and be heard.

Thanks!

Looking forward to seeing how it turns out. We may be moving before we actually start redecorating.

The pics were just from Google searches. There don't seem to be a lot of pics of DIYers in hijab -- makes sense not to have them if they're inside working on their own house though.

Oh, nice! I love that shade of blue, and the pillows and rug are really pretty with it! Please keep sending updates as you go. Watching people redecorate gives me inspiration.
