VSC - New Processing times

I keeping seeing "Touched" repeatedly in the personal timelines. What is meant by "Touched"?

I just answered this question somewhere else... A touch is simply an update at USCIS website. If you have registered there, you can check the date of the last update on your case. Most of the times it is nothing important (they are simply "touching" your papers somehow), but we like to know someone is actually looking at our papers. But when someone has been waiting for a long time, we start to believe that a touch may be an approval on the way. But everything we believe is based on hypothesis that we create according to the trends we see here on visajourney. USCIS gives us NO real information.

My congressman got some insight to our "touches"

"The first "actvity"(touch) was to assign your husband an A#. There was another unknown activity"

I called USCIS, just like many others probably, and the rep said, "It says here that VSC is working on March 4th petitions. Give it a few more weeks. You should here something soon." I didn't jump up & down or feel sad--no reaction. I hope that I'm not losing my feeling for this process. Of course, I am numb in a sense b/c right now it's just so unpredictable. I do try to stay positive and sound positive about this whole process while I'm talking with my husband. It's just hard. Hopefully, we'll get response to our letters to the US Senate Subcommittee on Immigration members this week. Perhaps, they'll have more exact info.
