I appreciate conservativeness of republicans. but its more personal choice in this world.. they cant force it on people..even Islam in Koran cannot and should not be forced on people. .Cheney taught Bush the term Islamofascism..this is what they think about muslims. as Colin hinted on this am during his endorsement. Clearly I agree with Obama that alleviating the tax burden on the middle class and putting more of it on the upper classes will be better for the economy. What you are trying to paint as an inevitability is only true in a conservative projected outcome. Sigh... haven't the past eight years taught anyone anything?

No assumptions about economics at all! Economically speaking, working people, paying taxes is the step to a stronger economy. The imposition of a greater tax burden upon the employing companies will only serve to cause employers to reduce their personell, resulting in greater unemployment than we have already. People need to step outside their employee-oriented perspectives and look upon the entire situation through the eyes of the employer more.

Once again, COMPANIES DON'T PAY THEIR TAXES, YOU DO. If their costs rise, they pass them on in part by raising prices, in part, by reduction in personnel.

But, remember, this is what you asked for by voting Obama.

Not quite. 400-500 times as much is more like it. It was around a 40:1 ratio back in 1980. Just comes to show how well the re-distribution of wealth has worked for the few and how crappy a deal it is for everyone else.

Companies pay their requisite portion of taxes, as do the individual income earners. but as you said, if comanies are required to carry a heavier tax burden then the cost of the product or service will have to go up to coutner the rise in operating expense, and so the trend towrds a reliance/preference for foreign competitive resouorces continues. Result? Fewer Americans meployed, fewer American-made or provided services...it's viscious cycle that we're already realing from.
