Just a with an ill patient, an ill country needs hope and will. Thats what heals the most.. and Barak represents this

Are you guys really so hopeless that Obama has come to symbolize hope to you? That's pretty bad and really sad.

How about addressing Cindi in that remark instead of painting all supporters? I am a supporter, but I dont subscribe to the hope spin myself. Why is it so hard to remove the paintbrush from all who have different views?

That aside- I cant believe anyone would bother to continue to defend/discuss their choice to VW - who clearly has stated several times over she "doesn't get it" and dare I say - she doesn't care to.

I'm not going to start posting with your particular sensitivities in mind. You're the one who keeps seeing herself in other people's comments. Stop doing that and you'll be ok.

Eh no. You must have misinterpreted my comment. You said : "you guys", I am suggesting to stop with the generalities, ee are not all "you guys" just as I am sure you do not fit in all the same molds of GOP supporters. But no matter - I am not offended, it's obvious to me your questions are not real, they are just put forth to play.

Then, with all due respect, don't play. When you start admonishing and suggesting to the broadbrush the conservatives crowd as you do to me, then I will take notice. But, in days, I don;t see you doing so. As I tld you before, it it doesn't apply to you, forget it, but I'm not doing anything that others aren't doing in my characterization of the opposition, and you admit that yourself.

I have "admonished" stupid attacks on Palin, and the like - probably moreso than the average pro-Obama supporter on here. Does that make a real difference in who you perceive my paintbrush comment?

Things I'm reading here give the impression that some think that the rich will give up their privilege, ownership, and influence, either willingly or forcibly, under an Obama administration, and that the masses will attain a higher status and more control over finance and the means of production. Some expect a soft revolution. I find this to be very interesting.

What are your thoughts?

What I find interesting is that you read any of that here. Where exactly did you read any such suggestion?

Over time, it's been an accumulation of what's been posted about the election over months, and the "hope and change" people are expecting under Obama. What put it over all the top and inspired this thread was this post:

http://www.visajourney.com/forums/index.ph...t&p=2314605

And yet, no suggestion along the lines of your OP is to be found. I think people are generally quite connected to reality.

That's such a tired argument.

VW, your preconceived notions are obviously impenetrable. Just because people disagree with you doesn't mean they're uninformed. What a tired, weak argument. Can't you do better? I mean, for all the effort you put into trying to make Obama supporters look naive, couldn't you come up with a more substantive argument?

Weak argument used by both sides. your folks can't do better, and I'm considering the audience in addressing my comments. Look around with an objective eye, Alex. Substance is useless and unused here.

PS - I don't try to make Obama supporters look naive. They do that by themselves.

Good for you, but you are clearly in the minority here with those views, as am I with mine.

One wonders if that is the case why you deign to grace us with your presence? Hasn't someone with your wit, intelligence and fortune got far better things to do with her time than #### stir with 'Dimocrats'? As you have told us all many times, time is money, and your time is worth an awful lot of $'s :rofl::rofl:

Refusing to use the spellchick!

I have put you on ignore. No really, I have, but you are still ruining my enjoyment of this site. .

I've never heard anyone anywhere say that McCain supporters are so blinded by their love for him that they see what they want to see. That "argument" is always trotted out about Obama supporters.

Things not being equal, maybe that's because it's so obvious.

Diaddie, that's baed on your assumptions about economics. Clearly I agree with Obama that alleviating the tax burden on the middle class and putting more of it on the upper classes will be better for the economy. What you are trying to paint as an inevitability is only true in a conservative projected outcome. Sigh... haven't the past eight years taught anyone anything?

No assumptions about economics at all! Economically speaking, working people, paying taxes is the step to a stronger economy. The imposition of a greater tax burden upon the employing companies will only serve to cause employers to reduce their personell, resulting in greater unemployment than we have already. People need to step outside their employee-oriented perspectives and look upon the entire situation through the eyes of the employer more.

Will that change is Obama is president? And, if so, how?

You didn't expand on your point; you just reiterated it. I still disagree.
