How can you even make a statement like that? You don't know who I am or my life or family, so to say you know more about racism than me is making a big assumption on your part.

In your post, you assume that you can school me, or that I need it. Did you think of that?

In other words, you know about the things that she illustrated, but you simply don't care, and don't think there is anything you can or should do to change it? It's not your problem? Excellent, the hedonist in you isn't dead, yet.

I was a human rights worker for two decades. A close family member has a human rights award named after them. I'm from a family of displaced Palestinians who suffered mightlily before being given entry into the US. We orked for everything we have, didn't get it by taking from others, and our faith requires that we give back. I was steeped in human rights and dignity from the time I could talk, but I will not sell my country down the road to socialism and baby killing to avoid your scorn and name calling.

I am non-white and I don't think I need saving at all.

But I do recognize that there are others, who we share this country with, who's fates are inextricably tied to my own, who do need help.

My Obama 08 vote is primarily for them.

Obama doesn't care about them or you. He only wants your vote and will say anything to get it.

That's where VW gets all messed up, she believes, possibly sincerely, that the only people who would vote for Obama are disadvantaged in some way. Some people really care about the fate of others, either because selfishly they realize that the fate of other materially affects their own fate, or because, oddly, they just care whether others have a decent life or not.

I can't save the world, I have no delusions about that. you may think I'n selfish for opposing the messiah, but I know I'm only being realistic in the face of your naivete. You truly believe that all those rich people who support him want to help the poor, but they don't. I know them better than you do.

Things I'm reading here give the impression that some think that the rich will give up their privilege, ownership, and influence, either willingly or forcibly, under an Obama administration, and that the masses will attain a higher status and more control over finance and the means of production. Some expect a soft revolution. I find this to be very interesting.

What are your thoughts?

Bazza Obarmy doesn't like the fact that successful people are independent people. He wants to ensure that everyone is reliant on the government for everything. Some people are born to be sheep and follow. Others lead. Its just the way it is. If you are financially independent and have choices, then you aren't part of the machine. If you aren't part of the machine, then you can't be controlled. Those gainfully employed to a certain income level may see a reduction in their tax liability and that is no bad thing. Those who are welfare leeches will continue to receive just enough to keep them baa'ing, and higher income earners will be taxed even more heavily than they are already.

I have worked hard, plus I also served in the military, but unlike you I have a conscience and truly care for people. My family is and always been into human rights, I was just really lucky to have family to help me get through school, and even with that help I am in debt from school. One of my friends just got out of law school and has so much debt from school loans, she actually regrets going to law school. That is sad. A big mis-conception is that poor people are there because they are lazy, nothing could be farther from the truth. If McCain was a regular working stiff, he would be long dead, he wouldn't have the insurance coverage to take care of those skin cancers he has. I bet his doctor doesn't have to wait for approval from the HMO's to give treatment, you think?

However, you seem to like suggesting that Barack Obama is a scum bag and anyone who votes for him is niave, stupid, dependant on welfare, suffering from white guilt or whatever other nasty atribute you can think of whereas anyone who votes for McCain is highly intelligent and knows a thing or two. Why you think that you can get away with that sort of an attitude and not get called out for wearing your own set of blinkers I can't imagine.

Successful people will be forced to spread $$$$ to those that didn't have the initiative, ingenuity or are just plain lazy. No way in hell. I don't mind those genuinely needy people having enough to get by, and funding programs that help people improve their circumstances, but I sure as anything am NOT doling out hard earned $$$$ to tossers with nothing better to do than have more babies they cannot afford, or are too damn idle to research and DO SOMETHING themselves, and not make a career out of benefit filing!

Being lazy has nothing to do with being poor, and for your information people on welfare don't just have baby after baby, that is a myth. I do have one thing to say people who are really wealthy don't usually share that information with others, they just are, they don't need to brag about their wealth. Let's hope you don't get too sick, because that will drain your money quick, and don't think your insurance will help you out, not if your treatment is expensive, they will find some loophole to stick it to you. Seriously, what planet do you live on VW? Most people, here in the real world have to work and interact with people who have differing views to our own. Some people manage to hold different views and not become bitter and twisted about the views held by other people. Strange how you missed that. Not quite sure how you did though.

Well, I suggest dolewallers ( and tax dodgers to be punished by community service) be put on a program, that could actually help them progress to a job [ dolewallers]- actually doing something for their money. They would get at least a reference for their resume and a chance to study, maybe? I dunno.

I also want to know the % tax burden welfare imposes. How do you know it's "negligible"? Do you have a source or something-nm-I'll look it up myself, because I am interested too.

Tax dodgers are on my list too!

eta-I wasn't saying dole recipients be punished by community service, but tax dodgers need to be actually doing something not just in prison doing nothing.

My bad, so you are in the 1% of Americans that don't have to worry about health care, that rocks, but for the rest of the working folks, big concern, even one's who think they have good coverage.
