Hello there,

My first post! YAY

So I have just recieved my NOA2 and am very excited and apprihensive about the medical and interview that will be coming soon!

So a couple of Q's....

1. It asks for your vaccination records - where would I be able to obtain them, (GP)?

2. I am a 26YO male in the UK on a K1 applicaion, so which ones would I need?

3. And I heard that I could just defer them till my AOS?

4. Also, do I need to phone up for the medical myself or will the Embassy do this for me, (Ie. will they send me a letter with my docs saying "please attend your medical at XY and Z", or will they say, "or you can now phone the medical place and make your appointment").

Im getting nervous just talking about it!!!!

Thanks guys,

Adrian

So a couple of Q's....

1. It asks for your vaccination records - where would I be able to obtain them, (GP)? Yes, or they can do a titre test to see what you are immune to.

2. I am a 26YO male in the UK on a K1 applicaion, so which ones would I need? http://www.usembassy.org.uk/cons_new/visa/iv/vaccinechart.html This link will tell you what you need3. And I heard that I could just defer them till my AOS? The vaccines are actually required until AOS however most people get them done on the NHS for free.

4. Also, do I need to phone up for the medical myself or will the Embassy do this for me, (Ie. will they send me a letter with my docs saying "please attend your medical at XY and Z", or will they say, "or you can now phone the medical place and make your appointment"). You phone up and schedule one yourself but you have to wait for your case number from the embassy, some wait until they have their interview letter, some do it when they get Packet 3.

Im getting nervous just talking about it!!!!

Thanks guys,

Adrian

First off.. Welcome to VJ!!!

Now to answer some questions....

1. It asks for your vaccination records - where would I be able to obtain them, (GP)?You can get your vaccination record at your doctor. My husband had to write a letter explaining why he needed it, but it was very easy to obtain.

2. I am a 26YO male in the UK on a K1 applicaion, so which ones would I need? It's easiest if you go to your family doctor and get the vaccinations, because they're most likely free there.. there's only like 3or4 you will need at your age, I believe

3. And I heard that I could just defer them till my AOS?I'm unsure of this. but My husband decided just to get them done with

4. Also, do I need to phone up for the medical myself or will the Embassy do this for me? Once you have your LON case number you will have to phone up and make the appointment yourself. When making the app they ask you for the case number.

I hope everything goes smoothly and quick for you through London!!
