My wife wasn't asked either.

Well I wasn't asked for a divorce paper either. Hopefully they are not going to ask on you too.

Bring your passport, birth certificate. also bring a few pictures of you and your fiancee, just in case they ask (some were asked, though I was not). Divorce papers? I was not asked for them.

We went to St. Marys in Manila, and they asked for copies of my divorce decree.

I don't know why they care, it's for a PI citizen going over seas.

It's not there job to try to be the US Embassy\

To me the CFO is a joke at best..........

  • 4 weeks later...

would it be okay to give just a copy of the birth certificate? or does it have to be the original from NSO?

Yep.. they will just ask for your Identification e.g. NBI, Birth certificate, etc..

Divorce papers are not needed..

Have a safe trip soon..

When I had the seminar last February, CFO Manila asked for divorce papers of my husband but I didn't bring it, still they allowed me to have the certificate... But the ladies also attended the seminar didn't issue their certificates (they are K1 applicants) until they bring their fiance's divorce papers and if they are single they need to bring some proof that the fiance' is single...
