u can email them at pakiquery@state.gov make sure to put your k-3 case number in the subject line. It will start with ISL. Your right, there is nothing wrong with getting married, but the spouse visa is not a fiance visa. Like i said, when you married your fiance paperwork for k-1 was not vaild any longer. It is misfortunate you waited a year to find out that you had to refile under a spouse visa. May i suggest you read some of the information in the guides on this website. Maybe it will help you understand a little more. I filed for my fiance almost a year ago and if you look at my time line, he still isnt here yet , but could be anytime, we are awaiting security clearance; what they call administrative processing. Every male between certain ages have to go thur it that is from Pakistan. Good luck to you.

Dana

Thanks Borwneyedgirl.I already emailed 100 times at pakiquery@state.com but no help . And when i file my fiance when we were enagaged they also put him in security check n its crazy they take 4ever to get that clear good luck to u on ur case.

Why don't you apply for a K3 or CR1/IR1 visa ASAP?

And get a new passport. That passport might have gotten lost.

Thank u Frali , Yeah thats what i am saying i did file K3 visa now for my spouse and yeah im pretty sure they have lost his passport thats y they r not saying anything plus they had kept it too long for a whole year n they still have it they shouldnt have kept it too long only for like weeks thats the maximum time right but now its whole year still they r not telling us what to do or where to get it back just like always there good old answer is "We will call u " which they never do .But u know Frali getting new passport there is big hassle too.

Hi,

If you have filed for a K3 visa and the embassy finds out, they will automatically deny your K1, and you will have to go through K3. Anyway, it sounds like you are stuck in AP. You should contact your local congressman or senator for help.

The only problem is the new K3 complicates thing. Also, being married and filing for K1 knowing it is illegal opens you up for serious trouble and a possible ban. You need to walk a careful line here. The embassy may now question whether you are engaged and not married. They may be doing an investigation due to what seems to be fraud.
