We had our I-130 approved on September 12 and our case is at the NVC. The NVC is waiting on us to return the DS-230s and supporting documents. My husband is just south of Montreal and hasn't gotten to the post office to send me the documents so I can overnight them to the NVC. I noticed when I did the "similar timelines" thing that someone who had their case completed on Sept 30 had their interview scheduled for Dec 4. With everything in me, I am hoping that we can get an interview around Christmas, but I am not so sure. (Ok, to be honest I am bummed because it looks like it will be more like Jan because of the time tables.) *sigh*

So anyways... I was wondering if you would be willing to share when your case was completed and the interview was scheduled at the Montreal consulate/ebassy. If you are at the NVC right now and want to share where you are at in the process and us wait together for the interviews that would be absolutely awesome also.

Thanks for your help!

Hi shiri,

Your best bet is to check this thread kept alive and well by our very own Miss Trailmix. It shows how long after documents were submitted that people (IR1/CR1) seemed to get interviews.

For me, I think after my DS-230 was submitted (May 30, 2008) I had my interview 3 months later on August 29, 2008. Other people's seems to vary by 10-20 days.

Best wishes!
