Hi,

We have the I-130 and I-129Fs in. I am an American and my wife is an Australian. The Consulate faxed my wife and invited her to come in for a B2 visa so she can come visit me. They then declined her! It is absolutely outrageous! We know we have to wait for the processing of our petitions but in meantime we want to see each other. I just started a new job so can't get the time off to go to Australia.

I have started a blog at www.joethehusband.com and all the documentation is on there.

she had to proof strong bonds to her home country and she must have failed to do that! she had to proof that she's coming back to Australia... she can try again if she wants to.

The US Consulate General in SYdney were not even interested to see her 'Strong Ties' and did not ask for paperwork. IT was declined based on the application 156. That's the problem. My wife has strong ties and has every intention of returning home like she did the other 11 times she came to the USA. The fax said she had to show strong ties and she got letters from her employer, rental agent etc. The US Consulate didn't even want to look at the papers!
