It can take Kyiv upwards of three weeks to "log" the case into there system once it has departed NVC. You are unable to make an interview appointment until it is in the system. The call center is located in Poland that you will call to schedule an appointment. There is nothing the call center can do to speed up the process and no appointment can be made until they get visibility online of the case file.

YMMV

OK - so that puts us at mid-December to schedule, and I assume maybe three or four weeks out for the interview date. Now I see exactly where you were going on the other thread with cancelations. I assume the PIN comments I read are just about calling Europe generally? Or are there special PINs for the call center?

The PIN I am referring to is not a regular calling card. The PIN I am speaking indicates to the call center operator that you have paid the required $$$ to speak to them. If you call, you can buy a PIN with a CC and this must be done before they will speak to you. A PIN costs $12 (minimum purchase) and provides you up to a 8 minute call. If Vika wants to call she will need to go to the designated ProCredit Bank and buy one before they will talk to her.

YMMV

OK folks - can some one give me a quick review on tracking to NVC, at NVC, and this PIN business at Kiev. Vika is pretty sure she can call the Kiev embassy and schedule herself.

Brad, my lady was able to call the embassy. They sent her a 2nd packet because the first got lost in the mail.

I downloaded the packet from the website (in Ukrainian) and sent it to Vika. I underdstand that the mail can be slow and unreliable at times.

If we waited for the packet from the consulate to arrive via post, we would still be waiting.... 1.5+ years and it still has not arrived.....
