Hello all!

I have been searching around the forum and not finding much current information on my questions. I posted earlier in the June VSC topic, but no takers yet! Can anyone help?

1. How long does it typically take for the I129F approval to be sent from VSC to NVC? We were approved October 15.

2. How long does it typically take for NVC to do its homework, assign a case number and ship out the package to Kiev?

3. How long does it typically take Kiev to get the paperwork into its system?

4. How long does it typically take until Kiev sets an interview date (assuming you call promptly for a date)?

I am looking for recent information and appreciate anyone's thoughts who may have been through this process recently with the embassy in Kiev, Ukraine.

Thanks much and have a good weekend all...

Not sure how long it takes to get to the Ukraine, but you can take a look at my timeline. I filed the I129f through the VSC and once we got the approval it did not take long at all to get to Brazil and get an interview date

We are still waiting for approval, but I read that it doesn't take very long to get your documents to NVC. It does seem to take a few days to get things in the computer, and posters say that they can get confirmation that the application was sent from VSC, but not received by NVC, etc. So don't panic if it appears to be MIA for a few days at first. Good luck, and congratulations on your approval.

Hello, my name is Ray, and I have some info for you. It should be sent to the NVC in about a week and a half, and if all is right, they will send out almost immediatly. In the case of my Marina, it took just over a month for her to get the packet from the Embassy. As for the interview date, they are booked out to about 30 days.

Hope I helped. Ray

Our NOA2 was approved at VSC on Sep. 15. On Oct. 2 I was able to schedule interview of Nov. 5. I guess we were lucky. There are some approvals right after us that still are not entered in system to get an interview date. I can't believe how much people get jerked around.

Steelman, thanks for the great information. It looks as if we are just about one month behind you in this long process! Quick question: Did you call the embassy directly to see if you were good to go, or did you make your first call to the call center and just hope that you were in the system? If you called direct to the embassy, do you recall what phone number you used?

Thanks again for the help...

The time between NVC and interview schedule for us was about one VERY long month. Our interview was about two months after NVC. Steelman was much luckier than I :)

CONGRATULATIONS!! :D I can only begin to imagine how excited you are right now!! How soon will your lady be stateside?

We were much luckier at NVC. Our KEV number was assigned six days after the NOA-2 and our stuff left NVC! Through the wonders of DHL tracking, I have figured out our package made it to Kyiv yesterday, so I'll impatiently give it a few more days and then start wasting my money on PINs until they give us an interview time!! :clock:

OK folks - can some one give me a quick review on tracking to NVC, at NVC, and this PIN business at Kiev. Vika is pretty sure she can call the Kiev embassy and schedule herself.

Normally an approved petition is at NVC within days of approval and sent off shortly thereafter but, it's important to consider that there are security checks at every stage of this process... inclucing NVC... so one can get held up for anfything at any stage. We were held up at nvc for 3 weeks... no clue why.

The Consulate stage is very unique to each Embassy so it's best to check the portals link or regional forums to find others who have gone through Kiev to get the best idea.

Congratulations and good luck
