Ok so i just called them i waited on hold for 48 mins then talked to CS...I played stupid at first "which is pretty easy" asked about my I-129F and said its been well over 2 months since I got my NOA1 and that I had called in May 10th and was told I could call back at the end of the month and by then i could possibly put in a request if i hadent heard anything on my case.

The women says you have to wait 30 days past proccessing and i said i was aware of this and says that Vermonts only at Feb 20th 2006....I said well i called in on May 10th and at this time they were at April 6th or 9th, she puts me on hold again comes back and says i must be mistaken i said no i wasn't and told her i looked at the proccessing dates the other day as well and i has seen that they had went from May back to April and now they are at Feb...again she tells me i must be reading things wrong so then i ask is there something going on in the USCIS that is making things delay...She responds NO not that shes aware of...Then i ask what about the IMBRA does this have any factor to the delays, and she places me on hold again comes back and says you will have to call back 30 days after blah blah blah... I then say you have not responded to my question about IMBRA, she asks whats IMBRA??

So i begin to tell her what i know of it and how it is effecting myself and others, At this point im thinking is she for real or are the just playing FUC***** STUPID!!

She again tells me to call back 30 days after blah blah blah so to anyone making the call......

GOOD LUCK I wasn't able to get anywhere!!!!!

The people at the Customer Service line are at a "call centre" and are not actually USCIS employees. They read from "scripts" and know way less than your average person who has applied for Visa's, etc. We got 4 different answers to the same question (asked to 4 different people on the "mis-information line" on different days).

I realized after that to take anything they say with a grain of salt.

Good luck.

they do not know what they are talking about half of the time-trust me on that! I called several times once our case was "outside" processing dates & never got anywhere. I finally got the noa2 88 days after submitting the petition.

good luck-I am sure you will get good news soon

Can I offfer some adivice? If you really start to have a problem with USCIS do not hesitate to write, phone or email your State, Federal and local reps.

I did this with the Vermont Center over 5 years ago while waiting for our K-1.

It worked in that they were able to track the application down in "clerical" which I think is code for far too close to the bottom of the pile and under some ones stale sandwhich.

The app was over the time it was supposed to be returned and not a week later it was processed.

Good...

remember also that one phone call into a reps office can count more than and email or even a letter...

they figure if you call then you mean business.

I still have both my response letters from my Senator and House rep. Then again I have everything I ever sent immigration and they sent me. Never know when I might need it.

I so do understand the frustration though... we had quite an interesting time dealing with the whole process and finally were relieved to get the permanent green card.

I do also advise that people don't trust any one you talk to in Customer Service... we were ill advised by two different offices, wound up being detained at the airport by some dweeb who did not know what he was doing (after close to three years being married!), sent to a hearing two weeks later to be told by the IO that he could not understand what we were doing there. Only good thing to come out of it was that he went upstairs, got a nice lady who then looked at our massive 4 inch thick file, spoke to us, looked at that years tax returns, and poof granted us permanent residence!

I will keep my fingers crossed for everyone!

When I felt that VSC was taking too long with our petition I called my congressman-within 3 days I got a letter saying that our case was "under review". We waited A LOT longer than most people do (at VSC) but we did eventually get our noa2-after a total of 88 days. I don't know if calling my rep was a good idea or bad one-but it certainly made me feel better.

good luck to ya
