Why are we being critical of a leader who is charismatic and able to inspire people? Is that not a quality you want in a leader of this country?

Hitler had those same qualities you just mentioned, just as a side note. Better to vote for him based on if his agenda being close to yours.

I only wish there was a candidate that had an agenda close to mine :(

I think both are important qualities of a leader. Think about the leaders you've experienced in your own life - group leaders, teachers, supervisors, religious officials - while agenda is of utmost importance you can't deny that what distinguishes a good leader from an extraordinary leader is the ability to inspire and move people. It is true that there are some people who abuse their power, but I don't think that eliminates the importance of such a quality.

You'd vote for Hitler ?

See the bold and red part. You must have missed that - purposely, I suspect, to score a cheap point.

Hitler had an agenda ....

So did George Bush.

"Be a uniter, not a divider" (look how well that worked)

"Finish daddy's work in Iraq" (mission accomplished)

Are you suggesting Hitler is Bush?

I'm answering to Mr. Dog regarding an agenda comment and Hitler ...

When Barack Obama inspires people to hate and agression, we might re visit this assertion that his alleged charisma is a bad thing. Personally I subscribe to the rather 'boring' label that was attached to him by a right wing commentator this morning.

I have put you on ignore. No really, I have, but you are still ruining my enjoyment of this site. .

Sadly true - in Sarah's case, I think she is too dumb to understand what she is being asked to do - either that or she doesn't have any ethics. In McCain's case, I think he's clutching at straws. He knows he can't win on his policies, his maverickness is more on social issues than economic which in the current environment is a road to knowhere. Sad to see a decent politician go down the tubes quite so comprehensively though.

Interesting that the 'sheep' at a Democrat rally don't diplay the traits that go with 'mindless fervour'. They don't chant incessantly 'Death to McCain' or cheer wildly when someone mentions America. All in all, these events pass off with very little excitement, so what gives?

They put tranquilizers in the Kool-Aid......

Alrighty then, tell me: What in the person's response suggests that (s)he would back Hitler's agenda?

Scary stuff. Reminds me of someone else.

I have siggies blocked. Is it really soething scary or just stupid?

I had to go look. As the great Barack Obama puts it, the fact that she addresses my so called 'obsession' in that particular way says more about her than it does about me :)

Doesn't that qualify as stalking and/or attacking a member? Isn't that against TOS and a suspension-worthy infraction?

Hmmm.....
