I could not believe my ears when my wife phoned me at work to tell of the appointment letter she just recieved. 12 days in beetween appointments??? Does anyone else have a similar story? She tells me I should be glad things are moving forward, which I am. It is just such a waste of resorces ($$$)

I know they could give a rat's behind. Another 500 mile journey, night in a motel...........that's a plus.

I thought AOS would be about 2 years? Anyone care to enlighten me? I would be gratful.

If you haven't already gone to the first appointment (hard to tell since you don't have a TimeLine yet) - you can bring both appointment letters and have them do them both at the same time.

Bring:

  • Appointment Letter(s) - Original
  • Passport
  • Marriage Certificate (if name changed)

Takes about 10 minutes (once your turn is called).

They allow the people that live on outer islands here in Hawaii to do all the biometrics in one trip to Honolulu.

Sorry I was not more clear in my note.

We had an appointment on the 10-10-08 which we gladly attended for I765. My complaint is that on 10-16-08 we recieved another appointment on 10-22-08 for I485. In the Portland, Oregon office you can not do two appointments at one time. This is according to the gaurd/receptionist at the door. My wife's fingerprints nor her appearance have changed much in 12 days.

I do appoligize to everyone here on this sight for our lack of timelines. I use my computer at work to do all of my messages here on VJ. So time is limitted. We will find a way to post our timelines in the near future. Thanks for your help and understanding

I wonder how many appointment of biometrics we can get? Are their 2 different biometrics schedule for I-765 and I-485 or just one?

Vida Taylor

Hi

2 seprate appointments. I am sorry I was not more clear in my note. We had the first biometrics on 10-10-08 and now have to go again on 10-22-08 to the same place. A 500 mile round trip for us.

I765 first and now I485... They where applied for at that same time and mailed to Chicago in the same envelope. But still do not get the same biometrics.

In my case, i only received 1 appointment for both I-1765 and I-485.

but they are sending me another note that they need my birth certificate and my I-94. They said they need that as an initial requirements to process grrrrrrrr...

Wish for our good luck!

God Bless you all and take care...
