ok here is the e mail asad sent me about his interview.

there was girl who took my interview and she was hard one but anyway i think i answered quite well but was asking really strange questions. like why she wanted to get marry so soon? and i also told when you came here we had religious ceremony. and she said why you had to made that ceremony? I said other wise we couldn't stay together becouse of my religion and she said why she couldn't stay in hotel why you have to had sex. i said she came here just for 20 days and we wanted to be with each other in all these 20 days. and i said alison wanted to have this ceremony. then she said why she couldn't wait more she just got divorced? I said legally its in september but they separated in last march or so.

Then she said what you saw in alison? I said alison is understand loveable caring but she said no thats not what i am asking i saying what you saw in her? i said she mature understanding she knows me so well even on internet at cam when alison can understand if i am feeling bad. Then again she asked this what you saw in her? I again repeated and i said she help me also . Then she said tell me what she help you? I said she helps me in everywayl she makes me feel good she always make me like she is with me. Then she said why u want to be together so soon and why u wanna get marry? I asked her then why people get marry she said there are many reasons and she smiled. Then i said i love her and she loves me thats why we wana get marry.

Then she asked how much you make where you work what you work what kind of work it is. Then she asked how you met i said on internet .

Then when i talked to him on the phone he told me that she said this, I cannot issue you a visa yet this interview is not over with I need to look over these e-mails and documents and i will make my decision. I will call you when i am finished so stay by your phone. Then she gave him a white paper and checked off the part that says 221- G administative processing ( i think) i have to ask him again exactly what it said.

But i can't believe she asked him about sex what the hell. They gonna want videos and pictures next. He had brought some pics also and she never looked at them. So i don't know what will happen next. Maybe someone out there knows what will happen next. :help:

Hopefully, your fiance will get the call shortly with good news that the Visa was approved. I think the Officer doing the interview was just trying to prove a bona fide relationship and the issue of the sex just came up because of the question about the religious ceremony.

Keep us informed as to the progress on your case.

Good luck and best wishes to you both.

Yup! I agree, it sounds like she really wanted to make sure that the relationship was true! I think asking about sex is getting a little too personal but I guess that was her way to make sure. I fell really sorry for your fiance to have to go through that, It must have been so uncomfortable for him! Hopefully with the relationship evidence that you two provided she will see that you really love eachother and then give him his visa! GOOD LUCK to you both!

He is in AP and it does seem secretative. He may have a home field investiagtion or not? I know in Pakistan the men that married Americans that were not of Pakistani descent have had field investigations. Ours was one month and few days after his interview.

All you can do is sit back and let it go for the 45 business days not counting holdiays or weekends. Then contact the embassy or DOS for an update. Our case never updated until they were ready to issue the visa. Good luck and pray for patience.

Dear Denali,

It sounds like you have been put on administrative review. To avoid further complications, chech the 221g to find out exactly what it says.

Secondly, continue to collect any and all evidence of your relationship.

Hang in there

Yes i am having him send me the form by computer. I talked to him today and it sounds like he answered her questions perfectly while others before him didn't know answers to alot of questions. He also had all his documents which others didn't. She kept saying oh you don't have this document and he said yes i do its right here then she would say oh. Its got to be becouse he is muslim ( i don't know) One good thing is everybody there seem to get the same paper as him but they also added some writing to thiers. She just checked something off with asads paper. Hopefully she told the truth and just wants to look over some more e-mails and he will get the call soon.

Pffft. The last time this was brought up, the expert consensus seemed to be that they can, and should be able to, ask anything they damn well please.

I personally find it to be going a bit too far, particularly when one considers that in many of the countries that are "high fraud," there is also a strong undercurrent of religiosity that makes sex before marriage verboten. So for K-1 visas, it's a non-starter question. Besides that, just because there's a healthy sex life doesn't mean that the USC might be being taken for a ride; quite the contrary. Sexual favors might be used to advance the fraud even further.

Just my 2 cents. I do think that if the question can't be posed respectfully and with consideration of the couple's religious tradition, it ought not be brought up, and doesn't really need to be.

Abby (U.S.) and Ewen (Scotland): We laughed. We cried. Our witness didn't speak English. Happily married (finally), 27 December 2006.

Latest news: Green card received 16 April 2007. USCIS-free until 3 January 2009! Eligible to naturalize 3 April 2010.

pax,

You (and others) may not be understanding the purpose of such questioning. The issue isn't that sex per se is an indicator of the validity of the relationship. The issue is, is the conduct of the relationship consistent with the norms and values of the culture.

Such questions are not posed respectfully because one objective is to provoke a reaction, the reaction being one more indication when compared with the reactions that would be 'normal' and expected given the cultural and religious background of the person.

Yodrak, I do understand why such questions are asked. That said, I don't think that COs ought to have free rein to ask anything they like in whatever manner they like. I simply don't. Reasonable people can, and do, disagree on the issue. If Ewen had been asked a question about our sex life in his interview, I would have been aghast.

Again, I don't really see what asking about a sex life can glean about a relationship that no other type of question could. I don't see that it will expose very many frauds, if any at all, and it will only serve to make legit applicants uncomfortable, angry, and intimidated.

i don't know what to think or do anymore. I don't even care about them asking about our sex life i just want him here. Now i am getting scared about them sending the petition back. Does anybody have any suggestions on what i should do now? Should he just wait for the phone call? Is there a timeframe of any kind that they have to respond too?

Not to play devil's advocate but didn't he sort of open that particular pandora's box by bringing up doing the ceremony to be able to 'be with one another'...sorry, just asking.

I'm agreeing with Denali, they can ask whatever they want - just get him here!

:star: Joey

And so he did what countless punk-rock songs had told him to do so many times before: he lived his life

10/07/2006 WEDDING DAY!

11/14/2006 AOS packet made it to 'the box' after being overnighted.

12/02/2006 Paul had biometrics

12/14/2006 AOS Forwarded to CSC AND AP Application approved.

01/17/2007 First touch of 2007 at CSC

01/20/2007 Touched AGAIN (also the 18th) come on...

February: Oops, RFE for a REGISTERED marriage certificate. Oops! Overnighted it.

02/28/2007 Paul gets email letting us know his GREENCARD is on it's way! It's done...for now!

03/09/2007 Paul's greencard arrives. And breathe...

We began with mailing the I-129 in on February 27, 2006 so the whole process took us approx. one year.

Good luck out there!
