Hello All,

My fiance got a yellow slip in her interview. The reason was, one of the three police reports that she brought in was gathered from the wrong department. She now has to get the police report (which takes ten days) and send it in with her passport to the embassy. She then has to wait for the embassy to send her passport with the K1 visa back after that.

My question is, if you were in a similar situation, how long did it take the embassy to send your passport back after you sent it in?

Your information will help us out a great deal. Thank You.

hey katheleen,

The police certificate I am talking about I *think* is called the INPE police certificate. I know that you have to go to downtown lima to get it. I will ask my fiance more about which one she is talking about.

Katheleen, the police certificate is called Judicial Certificate (Certificados de Antecedentes Judiciales), your husband needs to go to Jr. Carabaya 456 – Cercado de Lima and ask for that certificate for use abroad, that takes 10 bussiness days. I think Fable's fiancee first asked for national use (only in Peru) and thats why she got the yellow slip. All the certificates that your husband needs is for using abroad. If you have any question about them, dont hesitate to ask me. I hope that information helps.

Go to Google and do a search for "INPE Peru" and the website will be like the first hit.
