Yeah, right how could anyone consider voting for him? Clearly he is an arab terrorist, certainly not a US citizen, friends with dangerous pastors and *shudder* domestic terrorists and simply not fit for office. How could he ever have been selected by the Democrats? Oh, that's right because they are "Dimoctrats" and haven't the sense they were born with? When will the American people wake up?

Hopefully you can see the irony here. You claimed the OP was a non-story but continue to assert that the hoopla behind ACORN is legit. What exactly do you believe ACORN has done wrong (details please)? The GOP has been going after ACORN for a long time....so yes, it is a tactic of theirs and one that has led to absolutely no indictments of any wrong doing by ACORN. I'd like to hear what groups like ACORN are suppose to be doing differently to end all this 'crying foul'?

Steven, you have issues. Investigations involving ACORN activities have been ongoing and did not start with this election, nor are they a GOP ploy. You could use an education regarding the history of questionable activities by ACORN. Let it begin.

I really don't want to read about investigations. I've read enough on the issue. I'm asking someone to tell me, in their words, what exactly has ACORN done wrong? If your only answer is - they turned in fraudulent registration forms, then you failed. More to the point, what exactly should ACORN do in terms of registering voters that would stop the GOP from crying foul?

How can you say that? ACORN have admitted turning in fraudulent voter registrations. Their CYA is that they told authorities that some might be.

And what are they suppose to do if they suspect fraudulent voter registration forms under the law? (This is where the whole GOP Conspiracy Theory turns to dust). I'll give you a hint - they cannot by law, throw out forms based on their own suspicions....they do not have the legal authority to do that.

Senators who have had McCain scream hyphenated obscenities at them nose-to-nose include Rick Santorum, Richard Shelby, Thad Cochran, and James Inhofe. Most colleagues decline comment. The man has been called psychologically unstable.

UNDERSTANDING ECONOMICS – WHO NEEDS IT?

Not long ago, McCain stated to a journalist that, “Economics isn’t my strong suit.” But, he added, he is reading Greenspan. That would be Fed Chairman Alan Greenspan who, during his tenure, expanded the money supply more than in all the years since 1913. The Greenspan who kept the printing presses running at warp speed, turning out little pieces of paper called money and backed by the promises of politicians. Alan the Inflator fueled the dotcom bubble, the stock market bubble, and more recently the real estate bubble. It is no wonder that the LONDON ECONOMIST recently pegged 2007 true U.S. inflation at 17%. Just what we need – another president who is an economic illiterate. It’s small consolation that McCain admits it, because if elected, he’d appoint the wrong advisor's.

CAMPAIGN FINANCE

I’m sure the sponsor of the so-called Campaign Finance Reform Bill wouldn’t mind if we took a cursory look at his donors. They include the sinisterinternational currency manipulator George Soros, JP Morgan Chase & Company, Citigroup, Goldman Sachs, and Lehman Brothers. In otherwords, McCain is backed by most of the usual suspects who back “the competition.”

According to WorldNetDaily, since 2001, this candidate has receiving funding via the Reform Institute of Alexandria, Virginia, founded to launder money from George Soro’s Open Society Institute and Theresa Heinz Kerry’s Tides Foundation. Let’s just know who owns whom. All this only makes sense. The senator is a long-time member of the Council on Foreign Relations, a one-worlders, an ultimate insider.

The real John McCain : A very Ugly, Nasty, Self-Serving little man.

It is beyond belief that John McCain has the audacity to run for president when more than anyone else he has undermined our nation’s future. As one of the infamous Keating Five, McCain continued his support of the deregulatory practices which have now broken Wall Street and require a $1 trillion bailout for starters. In addition, he was an early promoter of the unnecessary war with Iraq which experts say already adds up to $3 trillion in long term costs, making our nation less able to finance bailouts.

McCain went on vacations with the felon Charles Keating. McCain accepted campaign contributions in excess of $100; 000 from Charles Keating. McCain was an enabler of Keating's illegal shenanigans; holding off regulators and delaying the day of reckoning and causing more innocent people to lose their life savings. McCain and Keating had close personal and business relationships for years.;

A page one report in The Wall Street Journal 10/3/08 describes the July 2008 downfall, due to billions of dollars of high risk loans, of banks which were units of Charles Lamb’s First National Bank Holding Company of Scottsdale, Arizona. Lamb, a campaign supporter of John McCain, had been battling regulators for some time as he had hired Gary Dorris from Phoenix AZ despite objections from the FDIC, which cited Dorris’s “unsafe and unsound” methods in previous dealings including a deal with an S&L run by Arizonan Charles Keating .

Arizona seems to be the epicenter of corruption. By 1988 it was reported that John McCain had received more money from Keating than did any of the other Keating Five and also had had the most meetings with him. When asked in 1989 whether his financial support had influenced politicians, Keating famously declared ”I want to say in the most forceful way I can: I certainly hope so.” Keating had prominently funded McCain’s election to the US House of Representatives. Then, while a US representative, McCain co-sponsored a resolution to delay S&L regulations which would have curbed risky investments (made with taxpayer-insured deposits).

Bank regulators had discovered in 1986 that Keating’s S&L was hiding losses, generating paper profits through loan swaps, and exceeding federal limits in direct investing. The Bank Board was adopting stricter limits, including loans on undeveloped land, and this is why The Keating Five senators were gathered together to ambush Ed Gray, the Bank Board Chairman. James Ring Adams points out in his book The Big Fix, that Keating “had taken a healthy thrift and bled it dry.” He had used sham real estate deals with accounting gimmicks to produce artificial profits. As described in the book Inside Job by Stephen Pizzo, Mary Fricker, and Paul Muolo, Keating’s S&L would buy empty Arizona desert, make large high-risk loans to buyers who would then buy this desert, selling and reselling it (land flips) to massively increase the price without improving the land. Michael Milken’s junk bonds played a major role in Keating’s S&L dealings. Taxpayer money was then used to repay depositors when this bank failed: thus were the S&Ls looted. This is similar to the toxic mortgage debts the banks hold today, likewise causing a taxpayer bailout. Meanwhile, McCain tells the Wall Street Journal that he’s always for less regulation.

When McCain’s VP choice responded to an interviewer’s question about specifically which Supreme Court decisions she disagreed with other than Roe vs. Wade, she responded that there were other Supreme Court decisions she would disagree with other than Roe vs. Wade. This is reminiscent of Yogi Berea’s comments. Indeed Yogi’s phrase “déjà vu all over again” describes what we’re going through today. Iraq is Vietnam all over again, and the current financial crisis is the S&L crisis all over again.

Add this to the devastating Rolling Stone article, which states (among lots of other things): "In its broad strokes, McCain's life story is oddly similar to that of the current occupant of the White House. John Sidney McCain III and George Walker Bush both represent the third generation of American dynasties. Both were born into positions of privilege against which they rebelled into mediocrity. Both developed an uncanny social intelligence that allowed them to skate by with a minimum of mental exertion. Both struggled with booze and loutish behavior. At each step, with the aid of their fathers' powerful friends, both failed upward. And both shed their skins as Episcopalian members of the Washington elite to build political careers as self-styled, ranch-inhabiting Westerners who pray to Jesus in their wives' evangelical churches." And its look more and more like John McCain lacks the character to be president. I used to dislike John McCain's policy positions, but the more I learn about the man, the more I realize I dislike him personally too. He is a horrible man, from the classic Washington elite that puts self above country.

Never Forget - John McCain abandoned his first family. Will he abandon America?

Are you a genuine social conservative? Do you believe in our wonderful Constitution? Are you opposed the Iraq War and its precursor strategies that have killed hundreds of thousands of innocents? Are you fiscally responsible? Do you truly understand the principles of republicanism? Do you believe in marital fidelity? Are you a supporter of free speech? I submit that if your answer to any of these questions is yes, you cannot vote for John McCain and retain your integrity. The lesser of 2 or 3 evils is still evil. In this case, not by a measurable amount.
