I just called and they told me my case is complete. It was actually completed yesterday but I had called in the morning so it must have been finished later in the day. Thank God it is done and I am with you on waiting for the scheduling now!

oct. 7, 2008 ------shows PAID

oct. 14,2008 -----IV fee generated/ paid online

oct. 15,2008 -----shows PAID

oct. 16,2008 -----mailed DS230 overnight

oct. 23,2008 ---- RFE

nov. 3,2008 ----- case complete

nov. 26,2008 --- medical exam

aug. 14,2009 --- remedical finally, passed

aug. 24, 2009 -- interview , passed

aug. 29, 2009 -- visa in hand

sept. 24, 2009 -- POE LAX

C'lations. This is awesome and short processing for you. You and Mater Rajaa should have add the two processing times and split tem in half to get two nice numbers.

I had several problems stopping me from going further in NVC. One was my husband didn't have the right passport the US accepts and it took the Iraqi embassy 7 months to get him a new one. The second thing was he became eligible for refugee to the United States, but he had to keep his original documents with him to bring to the refugee processing over the summer. The third was trying to change the consulate from Damascus to Amman. Unfortunately with the refugee, he is stuck in the background checks so we decided to just keep going forward with the CR1. Now I wonder if it was worth it to try the refugee, but it is a luck issue. Some refugees get processed in 3 months, others in one year. He didn't get lucky. Now I just have to hope for a speedy CR1 though the refugee approval could come at any time from next week to next summer.
