Hey, just checking in with you. Still no case complete? I am sorry. It will happen soon. I finally was able to send off our DS230 and photos and supporting docs today. It is supposed to be there by noon tomorrow. I am hoping for a Dec interview date, but have come to grips with the fact it might not be until Jan. We will see. Best wishes for a quick case complete.

Thanks.. i know many of us are hoping to get it done before the cutoff... i wish us all that :star:

All this moving has made me tired!

I got everything moved out of the apartment. The big furniture came out last weekend and just had to work on some small stuff each day that hadn't been packed as well as the cleaning supplies. Today was clean the old apartment day, lol. Tommorow I do the move out inspection and turn in the key. As for the new house, I still have a lot of unpacking to do, but the kitchen is done and the bathroom. I got all the clothes unpacked last weekend, but nothing else. Now its time for all the little stuff to come out and the positioning of decorations and the actual useful stuff. I did have to dig through 5 boxes to find my heating pad as all the heavy lifting really took a toll on my back. I must thank God for that heating pad as it made a world of difference on my level of pain.

Rajaa_Reda,

I really don't want to put doubts in your mind, but do you think NVC is doing additional security checks? There have been cases where NVC is known for doing those additional security checks especially to MENA members. I really hope I am wrong, and its just the confusion with consulate change thats taking it so long.

Best wishes, do hope you hear something positive tomorrow :)

ohhhh i love the heating pads.. i really should look into getting one again. So usefull in so many ways. Well at least you have something to keep you busy, not that it's fun or anything but it always is kind of exciting starting again in a new place. My rent just went up again.. $40. in a year. I know it's not alot but it still is irriatating

I don't know what's going on... and if they want to run security checks then great tell me but not telling me is making me more upset. I am certain the fact that when i filled the app he was in morocco working and now is in Spain working and getting his residancy there might cause some concerns, however he is working there and living there shouldn't be a problem. Well i would think at least. but who knows?

I will keep you all updated as it goes on.....

I am really hoping this is your day!!! Inshallah they will give you great news that your case is complete and the interview will be scheduled soon.

You are right that moving has made the time pass quickly. Between working full time and moving it is all I can do to just pass out in my bed out night, lol. I am enjoying my new place. I have so much more room than before. The rent is close to the same which is funny. I was paying $615 for a tiny two bedroom apartment and I had to pay $33 a month for a storage because I didn't have room for everything at the apartment. Now I cleared the storage out and put that stuff in the basement of my house so that is one less thing to pay and the rent for the house is $650. Really it equals out, but I have about twice as much room so I can't complain.

That sucks about your rent. I hate that many places want to raise the rent every year. Especially with the economy the way it is right now.

yeah... i am wondering if i should sign a 6 month agreement or a year agreement... the benifit is of the year is not to have rent go up for that time but then we can't leave for a year... or a 6 month when my husband gets here we can move to someplace if he chooses but they will raise it again in 6 months.

I think i am leaning towards a year... i don't know can't think this early

lol, I hate decisions like that. They made me sign a year lease for my house because they don't do 6 month leases. Problem is that if my husband isn't here by the summer than I plan to go there. Makes that harder though I guess if your willing to pay the fees you can break the lease.

Lol, my husband wants to shift now because his current one year lease is going to get over by 9th of November, but he is also planning to come to India for my interview, so I am just asking him to be with the same apartment.

This is such an unpredictable road, he is getting good offers with other apartments, 2 bedroom for only 400 dollars plus all utilities paid, but he can't take it as we don't want to change apartments now because his current address is what I filled with my DS-230 form that I will be staying in once I go to USA  .......................I just hope he can get that apartment after coming back from India, will be really nice :P
