Hello Everyone...

Has anyone heard that there are delays with interviews (through NVC)at the US Embassy , Cairo?? I was told on Tuesday that there is a delay in interviews in Cairo, so I'm trying to figure out how long this delay is. If there is anyone that has had their I-130 approved and NVC has set up your interview date for Cairo could you please let us know. That way we will get an idea of how long our wait will be...

Thanks so much!

Hi HisLittleMasriyah,

Congratulations on finally getting an interview date! I know it is frustrating waiting so long! Our case isn't completed yet. They received our IV Application packet on 10/10/08 and had reviewed the whole packet by 10/17/08 and are making us resubmit the ds-230 cause he forgot to put "PRESENT" on #20. So I am resubmitting it tomorrow back to NVC. After they receive it they say it would be in the system as completed. So, then we have to wait for an interview date to be set up. I has told by the congressman's office that they had delays in Cairo so that is why I was asking about that. Just to get an idea of how long this delay actually was.

Thanks so much for replying and best of luck with your interview!!
