When I had my LP , a filipina freind taught me how to drive at Wal-mart parking area last Dec. 25( no people around). We used her truck. After that my husband let me drove his car around but one day i had crashed his car and it freak us out. My husband decided that I have to go to driving school. It was so expensive for us since the school was 50 miles away from home and started at 8 am-2pm everyday for 5 days( lecture) and 8 hrs behind the wheels. My husband was not contented for the 8 hrs so he added 6 hrs more .

Now I am driving alone and happier since if I am bored I can just drive around and i can say that it made a lot of difference.

I used to drive years ago in the Philippines. My husband let me drove when I got my LP, he almost had a heart attack :P

Every time I tried to drive with him on board, he would start on the litany of "we will lose the house and live in the car if . . . ." . . ..and so many ifs. Literally, I would lose my composure and just decided to stop driving. He had me enrolled in Adult Driving to get me back into it.

Right now, I'm still trying my best on back-around-the-corner and parallel parking. I just hope the officer won't let me do them :innocent:

LOL. just like my hubby when I am driving I tell him not to raise his voice because I will lose my composure too. ans when he driving I will imitate him all the things he will say to me... like u are driving the white.. what are u doing ?? stop .. go. Lol and we just laugh about it.

I do drive here in the Philippines, but my husband told me that he won't let me drive when I'm in the states unless I do have my license there already. I am just kinda afraid when he told me that highways there are pretty much wide specially in the inter state, people drive like a speed of light.

Yes, they do drive here like a speed of lights. Pa takot-takot ka pa eh mas mabilis ka pa sa kidlat. Hindi yan bawal dito..babayaran mo lang ang ticket kapag mahuli ka.

Got my driver's license last friday. Parallel parking is so easy as long as you know the technique. my driving instructor taught me the secret for parallel parking. never drove in Philippines. I took written test Jan 15 and took actual road test Jan 30. Driving is easy as long as you keep on practicing. thats the only way you'll learn.

Trying to learn. But driving in US is a lot different, i guess.

Yes, driving is a lot different... for the most part, we obey stop lights and signs...hahahaha

Dont you mean we actually HAVE stoplights, signs and laws????

There's LAWS in Philippines, but no rules.
