My wife went for interview yesterday. She took everything with her to the interview including all the docs., wedding and engagement pics. But, they still require more pics. besides marriage. So, they put her on PENDING. She has to submit the proof now to Ahmd. VFS office.

Does n e one know how long will it take until they give her visa after providing the required proof?

I am not sure how much time it will take, was she given 221g? and photographs were the only evidence asked or did CO asked other proofs also?

What is 221g? They also asked for our email exchanges, and phone call history from the phone bill.

221g is the white slip, asking for more evidence. And that's what you got. Make sure you load them with evidence, even throw in some affidavits from friend and families, if you need format of affidavit, do message me your email address and I will send you.

Basically you have to convince them that your relationship is bonafide, so include everything you think you can, from phone bills, emails, chat logs, letters with postal stamps on it, money transfer receipts, boarding pass of you joining her in India, your passport's photocopy showing your visits to India after marriage, hotel bills.

If they are satisfied with the extra proof you send, plus if they aren't putting your wife through AP (administrative process), then I guess its a matter of 4-5 weeks.

Once you submit your documents, you will have to keep calling DOS, to know the status of your case, that's how you will get to know if they put her in AP or if the evidence given are satisfactory enough for the Consulate.

I'm asking because I had to come back in a week after my marriage as I had return ticket so we hadn't been on our honeymoon so we have no pics of that...We have planned a trip in Nov....and it was booked...but then we just got interview date right in the middle of of trip...so had to cancel it ( I'm wondering how many engagement/wedding pics we should take...I don't wanna take my album from u.s. to India as it's too heavy.

You have to do what you have to do to Convince the CO that your relationship is for reals, just your word is NOT enough... I send my husband a huge package which cost me $200 dollars....And he also took more items with him to show.... One or 2 pictures will not be enough... Good Luck!!

My wife submitted the required documents(pics., yahoo chat log, phone call history, etc.) for PROOF OF RELATIONSHIP to VFS in ahmd. VFS person said, it will take around 1 week to get her Passport back in mail.

Does it really take around 1 week to get the PP back from Mumbai embassy?

I can understand that, pictures with her family or your family, pictures when you went together somewhere etc... Even pictures maybe you send each other....
