Has anyone heard anything from Montreal lately? It seems like things have gone so quiet. There were a couple of interviews scheduled a while back but nothing in a bit. The board just seems quiet everywhere.

We left NVC two weeks ago and are waiting to ear fom Montreal. Just biding our time until what seems (based on other's timelines) like a September interview for IR-1.

Just talked to them on Friday. I was calling to ask about our Packet 4 (it's now been six weeks since they received Packet 3). He told me that "all I could do is wait," and that it would most likely be two to three months until my husband's interview date. (We're filing DCF.)

Sigh.

With any luck it is going to speed up some soon. I am sure with the new law and with summer here that might be what has slowed it up a bit. I am crossing my fingers it speeds up once my application hits there so I hope it does for everyone ahead as well.

I haven't any idea yet whether my file has been sent to Montreal yet or not. I cannot get through to an operator at the NVC to find out and some people say that Montreal can get pretty grumbly with you if you call too quickly.

I have sat back and waited for now. Should I be calling Montreal to see if they have received it?

Our case was completed on May 3rd. I spoke to an operator late last week and he told me it takes two to four weeks to be transferred to Montreal. We are coming up to the four weeks and according to our file it hadn't left yet :( He told me to call back on June 1st and it should be on it's way to Montreal by then. I'm hoping to hear something soon too. Good luck.

We're going the CR1/IR1 route. Our case was completed on March 24 and we still don't have an interview date. Going by the last few interview dates given here though, looks like ours will be last week of July/first week of August.

If I call the NVC will I get our interview date via the automated line, or do I need to talk to someone there to get it?

You won't hear a peep from Montreal. Your case is only sent to Montreal after your interview has been scheduled.

Montreal doesn't schedule interviews for CR-1, the NVC does. So if your case was completed just a few weeks ago, Montreal certainly won't have it yet.
