hi, everyone, i just don't know how to do now. My NOA1 is 1st, May. due to not correct money , so they denied the check on 4th, May. but i still got my NOA1 in the same day. untill now, they didn't send us a RFE or try to charge money again. it is 1 month. I really don't know how to do, cancle the application and apply again? every time my bf call the 1-800.. always tell him wait and no other information. I feel it is abnormal for application. any one here can help me? thanks here

Doesn't sound at all abnormal to me. If the fee was wrong, you would receive an RFE.

Have your boyfriend send a new check for the correct amount.

Yeah, ´cus when the amount is wrong they just send the whole package back.

thanks, guys, that is what i worried. we didn't get a RFE at all. and also no package send back. If they not send us RFE for money, we can't send correct money to them. So i really don't know how to do and what will go on. i am so worried now. he told me the check denied due to not correct fee from Bank, we not get any thing from csc yet.

Yeah, we´re trying to find out how did you fiance hear that. E-mail? He called them? The bank?

i can check my case status online, and in the last update, it changed on 15th and 16th, May too. so I thought csc not return my case. i am not sure who denied the check, just my bf told me, i thought he know that from bank.

NSF check---the bank notified the USC that there were insufficient funds to cover the check.

That's my guess.

It's happened before, but I dont' remember what they do about it.

alice, don't worry. Your BF will hear from the Service Center about how to make good on his payment.

If that's the case, don't most accounts have some kind of overdraft protection? I assume he would be charged a fee, but in that event, I thought the merchant (in this case USCIS) was none the wiser.

If there is no overdraft, then I'm not sure what would happen either.
