Hi jpatel,

Your petition will makes it's way to the NVC. You can call DOS in a couple of days and get the case id from them. There is a way to even track the petition thru DHL. If you do a quick search there are detailed instructions.

Sounds like you have a great handle on the I134 paperwork. You'll also need relationship proof too. Emails, chat logs, phone records, etc etc.

Are you going thru Mumbai? They do almost everthing electronically I think. Packet 3 and 4 are on line. Go to the embassy website and look specifically for Packet 3 info.

Some others may be along shortly with more info....

Hi JPatel,

My fiance was just approved for his visa on 8th Oct at the Mumbai Embassy. Now that you have the NOA2, like Milo mentioned, your case will get forwarded to the NVC in a few days. You can contact them to get your case number. Once a case number is assigned, the case gets forwarded to the Mumbai Embassy. Packet 3 gets mailed about 1-2 weeks after they receive the case from the NVC. Like Milo said also, Mumbai has both Packet 3 and Packet 4 online or anyone can go to the Embassy (Information Counter) and picket up the packets. In Packet 3, your fiance will have to fill out DS-230 form, forms checklist and applicant signature. That can be dropped off at the Embassy or it can be mailed. My fiance dropped it off. Once that is processed, your Packet 4 will be sent which contains you interview appointment letter. We called the DOS about 1 1/2 weeks after we dropped off the Packet 3 info and they told us when the interview was scheduled. I was too anxious to know the interview date, so I called instead of waiting for packet 4! Now is the time you need to start gathering things for the interview. Since you are the USC, you'll need to provide to your fiance the Affadivt of Support, a letter from your employer, one year tax return (2007 only), copy of your birth certificate or passport which proves you are a USC and proof of relationship. Your packets will provide a checklist. Its a relatively easy process. My fiance didn't have much trouble. The most cumbersome thing is getting the PCC. I did write a review also in the India Consulate review section. Message me if you have any questions and I'll be glad to answer anything I can.

Good luck -

Jenni

Hi Jenni .......I have my fiance applying to USC-Mumbai... too. I have somequestions ???:help:

1)Can I send my fiance express mail of I-134 after packet 3 sent.. or they need to attached with packet 3 .... :help:

2) if my fiance goes to to the Embassy (Information Counter) ..what info (I think cass no or any other thinks?) they ask from him to handin packer 3

3) what if my fiance fill DS 230 part 1 from online & take printed copy with him ..while he go.to the Embassy (Information Counter) to get packet 3 n he already prepared DS 230 part 1 form.printed copy .Will they take right way.?

I checked online USC -Mumbai web site but still..confuse...

from K1 Packet3 info on website says .."Passport to.. FEES...its says ..YOU ARE REQUIRED TO SUBMIT THE DOCUMENTS AT THE TIME OF YOUR INTERVIEW"......so what does first we gonna submit.(a.)DS-230 Part 1 (b.) two photographs (c.) last page APPLICANT’S STATEMENT...only or all we check mark all items n return all 4 pages which are on website..........

Last one .....when do he submit DS-156? n $131 fees to ?
