I think you mean drivel. While they are synonyms, only drivel means idiotic talk.

No I meant in terms of saliva coming out of a mouth. Pointless and baby like.

"The fact that we are here today to debate raising America’s debt limit is a sign of leadership failure. It is a sign that the U.S. Government can’t pay its own bills. It is a sign that we now depend on ongoing financial assistance from foreign countries to finance our Government’s reckless fiscal policies."

Senator Barack Obama
Senate Floor Speech on Public Debt

Bull ####### you guys are never interested in debating this sort of stuff. I could set my watch using your responses. As soon as you see minority and race, forgetaboutit, it triggers some sort of spasm in the brain that causes you to froth at the mouth and throw out stereotypes. Yes the very same dam stereotyping you condemn against liberals. Be it throwing out racist, bigot, stupid, idiot, a joke, being against brownz peoplez' and ####### like that.

Your number 1 point is that the stats are irrelevant and I simply do not get them.

According to the Internal Revenue Service, the 400 richest American households earned a total of $US138 billion, up from $US105 billion a year earlier. That's an average of $US345 million each, on which they paid a tax rate of just 16.6 per cent.

No, the point is that the stats have nothing to do with the conclusion you try to make. Which is retarded.

Wishing you ten-fold that which you wish upon all others.

What conclusion is that. You guys have a knack for telling me what I believe and what my conclusions are. So go ahead humor me.

Though I probably should get back to doing some work. Spending too much time stirring you Dh's up on VJ rather than working from home..

Actually the point is that you use those statistics to make erroneous, broad-brush associations.

Quite what this means when you (for example) see a black or hispanic man driving a Mercedes or a BMW is another matter. Perhaps you assume that he stole it... because after all... you have convinced yourself that its the most probable of outcomes.

Perhaps when you hear about a murder or a robbery (even where a description of the perpetrator has not been issued) you assume that a black or hispanic must be behind it. You've already indicated previously that you think the police are justified in stopping and searching people on the basis of ethnicity.

I disagree with Cleo - she thinks you're racist by way of simple ignorance. I think your ignorance makes you racist.

Oh the irony.

But if you must ask... there must be some kind of motivation behind the sh!tstir you try by acting 'surprised' about race every single time.

Which makes you either selectively insane or just plainly retarded. You pick.

Wishing you ten-fold that which you wish upon all others.

So, you withdraw the "eye rolling typical of the Hispanics" that started all this then? Good, get back to work.

Nah, I think he's now saying he does it to 'rile up' the libruls. :)

Refusing to use the spellchick!

I have put you on ignore. No really, I have, but you are still ruining my enjoyment of this site. .

Ignorance of what. Please enlighten me.

Building on your example, as I have said before when a black guy is driving a $185K car we call this black power and success. Yet when a black male from the hood commits a crime then he is a product of society and white man is basically to blame. You cannot have it both Ways. So either whitey is responsible for everything or African Americans are responsible for their own lives, choices and destiny. Guns don't shoot themselves mate. Books don't read themselves either.

My husband, I love him and I am ashamed to say this because he is my husband, but the other week he stated: "Latino women are all trouble" and told my 9 year old son to stay away from them.

I was in complete awe of what he said, I was floored and I got very angry. I told him he was racist and he said: "No I'm not, look at the statistics, look at them when you see them on the streets!"

Needless to say I was livid. I tried to talk to him and he wouldn't budge, and was set in his ways. I had no clue he thought this way, but the fact is, he didn't think it was racist. He just said he saw what he saw and can't help it if most of the portray themselves the way they do.

However, I don't see what he sees. I can't see what he sees. It makes me ashamed to even think he sees people this way. And he thinks I am naive for thinking the way I do.

I share this story, because there are people who are going to see the world different from the rest of us, and they feel they are right, as do we.

I try not to get involved with these discussions because I know the people who feel this way are adament and will not turn away from those views. Just like my husband and people who go by stereotypes won't change my views.

Yes I think my husband is wrong for the way he feels. We got into a very heated argument because of it, but the argument proved to be a waste of time because it didn't go anywhere.

I'm starting to ramble but I hope you see my point. I do have one...somewhere in there. :)

Anyways, I told my husband to keep his remarks to himself and to never ever say anything like that to my son again and he promised not to. But it did make me sad. Especially since I'm a minority and there are stereotypes about my race that I have to jump over in order to live my life.

Well for starter's who is "We"?

If it needs to be pointed out to you for the umpteenth time - you are clearly completely out of your depth, not to mention totally deluded.

Noone has ever said that "Whitey" is responsible for everything - that again is an example of how you simplify things to a stupid level, because you prove yourself to be totally incapable of understanding what has been said to you.

It just doesn't enter into your mind that people are individuals, yes - responsible for their own lives, and that they are entirely separate from the cartoonish stereotypes you want to impose on them.

A perfect example that you can't tell the difference between single examples that can and likely are examples of different circumstances.

Which makes me agree more with Cleo. You really are weakminded.

In bold we have: two singulars being made to generalize an entire population. Bravo, Bill.

Oops, you did it again.

Biased perhaps - but if he were naiive he might think he could single-handedly clean up his community with the aid of a sawed-off shotgun, or that he could end the drug trade with nuclear weapons and marvel at how stupid the politicians must be because dammit - its so obvious!

You know what the real irony is that I actually treat hard working Latino and African Americans much better than spoon feed white kids, who I cannot stand.

Regardless of what you think of me, I have never ever been rude or condescending to either group, in person, because I respect people, from both groups, who work hard and do not play the minority or race card.

On top of that the Aussie culture is to respect the underdog, battler, so your bull ####### accusations just make me laugh. Then again I have not really found a Britt who works hard. Bloody Bludgers. Probably why six camps out here.

Go to expat and I will tell you..

Sure you do. You just prefer to slander them behind their backs and via the anonymity of message boards (the anonymity you apparently so despise).

Hmmm - might be the Aussie Culture. It sure as hell ain't yours.
