I think the streetwise definition of liberal is not the same as an actual definition anyway. When I refer to liberal in the US I am refer to the American connotation of the word. The center > right wing party I support in Australia is actually called the liberal party for example.

Yes I would say I have center right views. For one thing I support raising taxes which my republican brethren do not. I support a lot of Obama's plans, think he is a smart guy and will make a great leader.

I'd put Kaydee in a different category. He has a thick skin and doesn't get rattled in the same way. Exasperated, yes, but rattled, no. His posts also tend to stay on topic, and he can spell.

Seeing the list of hijackers reminded me something a sort of friend of mine was talking about...

She saw a film which supposedly claims that some of the hijackers that are supposed to be dead are actually living a life in the middle east somewhere...and that they found them. She failed to mention if they minded being accused of something yet are just going on with daily life? Well if anyone wants to buy into that stuff, be my guest. But this friend of mine does always have weird ideas going on. A Y2K junkie for instance so most of what is said by her makes me go "huh???".

I really like how the turn it on conservatives though. Like by disagreeing you are automatically accusing them of being tree hugging communists. Yet in the next post the throw out the "labels" are bad bad bad comment..

Spot on there. How many of us fellow conservatives camp out here and gang up on other members. We simply don't. You seriously have to wonder if they are on shifts or something. Some times the entire gang comes in for the kill and you know the thread is going to get hot.

I don't know about them but I have never been a fan of ganging up on people. If you want to fight with someone, even in a forum, do so one of one. Not four or six on one and then claim the other person is the loser.

Well not to go on about it too much but a bunch of us were there when she was going on about it and we thought, uh oh! She also went on about horrible secret things our govt is doing. Oh yeah, another major conspiracy in the film(i think from that same film) is that the flight 93 passengers are being held secretly somewhere by our govt. The plane landed somewhere and they took the people, and the 911 call from flight 93 that's recorded is fake.

Ok I think there is nothing wrong with criticizing a govt or not always trusting it(unfortunate if we feel that way), but to believe the extreme that she was talking about.. I can't remember everything else said.
