I see you are in Chicago...which places do you hit up? Here in Roger's Park there are a lot of Mexican groceries...the prices and selection always beat Dominick's or Jewel hands down. If you're ever in this area I highly recommend Morse Market if you are up in this area...they have a great selection of fresh herbs.

Oooh, I gotta try that place. Morse is just a 5 minute bus ride from me.

I LOVE all of the farmer's markets, especially Green City. And this time of year is great with all of the apples and squashes and such like.

Sometimes if I need to go out of the office I'll wander over to the Farmer's Market in Daly Plaza.

i'm jealous! :(

you can walk to a farmers market? i'd settle for being able to drive to one. :P

In downtown Chicago no doubt! The FANCY Farmer's Market and all!

no fair! :crying:

it is really looking like we are going to have to move up north :(

How about investing in a local farmer's market there? I'm sure the lack of would at the least drive you to think about studying the marketability of such an idea there?

there's one a couple of towns over, it's not a farmers market really just a fresh produce market and it is only once a week on saturdays when we would rather be doing something else. :( it claims to be based on "the great European food and plant markets", so at least i know a bit about those if i wanted to do that here. it is located in a place where rich people live and has a minuscule population of 17k . my better half and i have discussed opening a whole foods/fresh produce store here where the population is bigger, about 70k, because there is NOTHING here. i am still surprised that there are no farm stores around here, we have a lot of those back home.

all i need is for the housing market to pick up so i can sell my house back home! ;)
