Get with the 21st century, I have yet to see a place that doesn't require a valid ID (in some cases more) of some sort to register as a first-time voter to vote absentee.

Is an electric bill valid ID? That's all you need in some places. I have not shown any ID to vote in years.

I'm not sure I understand why you think that's important - it isn't untrue, but the same rules that apply to someone seeking for a job at the FBI or with the secret service don't really apply to career politicians seeking public office. Politicians can't really avoid coming into some contact with controversial or otherwise dodgy people at some point in their careers (on that basis - the more time spent in government the more proverbial skeletons in the closet) - the litmus test is surely not so much the association, but the behaviour and ethics of the person in question.

Which is why I wonder why William Ayers and Reverend Wright should get so much attention - but Sarah Palin's VP being fingered in an ethics probe should not.

I asked more than a week ago how many here got their paychecks from a poor person. It turns out that no one does.

Obama wants to bite the hand that feeds you, and you don't even get it. The government doesn't pay for a thing, it just takes. Corporations don't pay taxes; they pass on their costs to you. Raise their costs, they raise their prices; and they have more clout than you do. Take a few economic courses before speaking about how job creation works. Using OPM - Other People's Money - a very common way of getting around the risk to yourself when making deals. Politicians are big on OPM, and they don't care much who pays.
