Hi All,

We are preparing for the written exam to get the driver's license in Rhode Island. We have the operator's manual to study from to prepare for the exam, but a good deal of what is in the manual seems to be material that is informational and irrelevant to the written exam. The DMV provided zero help on what parts to study. Has anyone figured out what parts of the manual need to be studied. Or, would you have any other useful information you could share with us along this endeavor.

You need to study it all. I've taken tests in MA and NC and you can get asked about anything that's in there.

I took the test in FL and it really wasn't that tough...a lot of it is common sense, but I have been driving for almost 15 years in England so a lot of the details were similar. The thing to remember is, even if you fail first time, you can try again almost right away and at least you'll know what to expect. :)
