They can't. They've never been able too. That is one of the challenges of a large democracy. I would rather have potential instances of vote fraud than widespread disenfranchisement, which are--right now--our two options.

It's an overly simplistic philosophy of just repeatedly declaring something, and it being true once you've said it x amount of times. That seems to be the only criteria for VW's "facts".

Huh--I recognize that technique! Much like Sarah Palin repeatedly insisting that the "Troopergate" report cleared her of any ethics violations when it clearly did not. But if you say it enough, it must be true!!!

Get back to me after you improved your reading comprehension. And after you have figured out how Sarah Failin' traveled to New Hampshire and still managed to move the state all the way over to the Northwest. I'll check back in a couple of years.

After you figure out how Biden said Herbert Hoover went on TV to speak to the American people about the depression. Talk about idiots.

I so can't wait for election day.

Just to repeat the premise of the fliers from Ohio in the last Presidential elections, Republicans, make sure to vote on November 5th!

It really is telling that those that complain about potential voter fraud never once stop and think about the very real disenfranchisement of eligible voters.

Yup, apparently it was quite the ordeal for people to register to vote.

Like if you didn't have a driver's license...then you would need to find your birth certificate and get licensed and then register.

So much trouble to go through for many peops.

SpiritAlight edits due to extreme lack of typing abilities. :)

You only need to register once, then update every time you move. I don't see the hassle really. These protections are in place to prevent the very fraud that VW and other nutcases keep asserting is going on with ACORN, i.e. Mickey Mouse voting.

Not interested in moving to different subjects before you addressed the issue at hand. Which, may I remind you, is Sarah Bush-Palin moving a state she just went to campaign in to the opposite side of the country. And then, to ice that cake, moves on to declare that folk in NH "just get it" after being booed for having put her lack of geographic knowledge on display. Let it crack. Or rather, let's let her go back to Alaska so she can actually deepen her foreign policy experience by actually visiting the spot from where Russia can be seen on a clear day and perhaps spending an hour or so to take a peek. That would easily quadruple her experience and make her the perfect nominee in 2012 to run against President Obama.

Oh what a joy that would be...

Yea such an ordeal. In some jurisdctions, all you need is a utility bill to vote. That's why ACORN needs millions in taxpayer dollars to get the poor "disenfranchised" to register. Disenfranchisement is a growth industry, like most government handout programs.

You can't see the forest because of the trees. Herbert Hoover on TV and 57 states. That's ok, Neo love people like you.

How many states require that a person who is voting for a first time absentee present proof of ID?

How many?

You're making the assertion of voter fraud in regards to ACORN.

You prove it how it can people can cast multiple votes in a precinct or even absentee.

That's great in theory, kinda like how Sarbanes-Oxley was supposed to stop corporate fraud.

The fact is, states are already making excuses about how they can't prevent or catch all fraud.

Great in theory, but the fact is the only documented cases of voter fraud (besides your inner circle of conspiracy theorists) have to do with the voting machines themselves, not registering of voters.

It's very obvious the only reason you're making this ACORN assertion is because FOX News told you it's an issue when it's not.

Otherwise you'd have already shown how people can fraudulently vote by registering 2349234 times or how Mickey Mouse can vote. You haven't shown sh!t, and everyone knows this is made up, so I'm thoroughly enjoying making you eat crow.

No crow for me. I'm not delusional. I don't discount voter fraud and I'm not overwrought about voter disenfranchisement. My priorities are in proper order.

The FBI and some judges seem to believe voter fraud is a problem, even if a couple of kool-aid drinking VJers don't.

The FBI also hasn't shown Mickey Mouse has voted. Wonder who's really drinking the kool-aid. Nice try.

Still haven't even shown that to register to vote one only needs a utility bill. This is yet another telling assumption without a source of proof, never mind the lacking occurrence of a Mickey Mouse vote.

Keep trying and keep getting owned until you can.

Oh for the loveofgawd....

"he was referring to the number of Democratic contests and not the actual number of states in the union. There are only 50 states, but there are more primaries and caucuses (Guam, Puerto Rico, District of Columbia, for example) than there are states."

Perhaps, just perhaps.

Have any of you ever done a silly gaffe like this when talking?

No?

Liars!

Sure it is important to know your nation and your geography and your name and all that shtuff.

And...

he either slipped up due to whatever.....where is the rest of the tape to see if he corrected himself?...or simply see above quote.

Exactly. I don't know why we're comparing gaffes here... but if they were to be comparable, you'd need context that would blow up quite quickly in our McCainiac friends' faces.

Wishing you ten-fold that which you wish upon all others.

Ah, we are to cut The One some slack for a gaff, but not his opposition. It makes perfect sense.

Some people are forgiving for one stupid mistake. However, Palin has nowhere even close to one stupid mistake. She's a walking mistake.

But she was bashed as soon as she made her first mistake, unlike Neo. While she may be a walking mistake, I bet you'd hit it.:lol::devil:

Obama has been trashed for his mistakes plenty of times on this forum ....
