I Married My Best Friend May 16

Bruce and I said our "I Do's" on May 16, 2006 at the Little Church of the West in Las Vegas My sister, Bernie and brother-in-law, Jim, from California walked me down the aisle, my brother, Adrian, from Toronto was our Best Man, my sister, Florence, from Toronto was our Matron of Honour. Adrian's wife. Cathy, was present along with a niece, nephew, great-nephew (and their other halves) from California. My high school friend, Theresa, and her daughter and sister-in-law were also present. And my sister's mother-in-law. (I'm sure I'm forgetting somebody ...We didn't expect that many people to fly out to Las Vegas. But we're so happy they were there. Neither one of our children could be there but they were there in our hearts.

My sister and brother-in-law had a reception in their suite for us. My brother played quitar the whole time.....we sang and danced and had a glass of wine or two What a beautiful wedding it was.......the minister performed a beautiful ceremony and the Church was so quaint you would never think for a second you were in Vegas.

We stayed at the Luxor [wow, what a casino!!] in Las Vegas (compliments of Bernie and Jim) for a week then drove to California and spent a week with them. We tried our luck at the slots.........we lost more than we won but we had tons of fun!!! We flew from Los Angoles to Maine yesterday (May 28). We had a wonderful trip but glad to get back to our own home. Bruce is off for the rest of this week and we plan on fishing (my favourite relaxation) and doing some kyaking (my first time...........I'll try anything once ) And just enjoying spending some alone time.

Now I start on my AOS!! I have my SS # and my Maine Driver's License...that's a start.
