Hello To my fellow Filipinos here Meron Bang nakaka alam ng LAING RECIPE?

I really want to eat Laing but i do not know the ingredients medyo confusing kasi un ibang ingredients sa web.

And i really want to cook BICOL EXPRESS too. I never cooked filipino food sa Philippines so medyo nahihirapan ako to cook here.

Kailangan ba talaga ng Bagoong for the LAING? And where can i get it here? And how about the coconut milk?

Please share me those RECIPEs and where to get them.

THANK YOU SO MUCH!

"Our Wedding Prayer"

Lord, help us to remember when we first met,and the strong love that grew between us.

To work the love into practical things so nothing can divide us

Grant us a Love that grows stronger with each passing year.

We ask for words both kind and loving

and for hearts always ready to ask forgiveness as well as to forgive.

Guide us to overcome every challenge

and keep our dreams pure to each other always.

Dear Lord,we put our marriage into Your hands.Amen

If your heart acquires strength, you will be able to remove blemishes from others without thinking evil of them.

HI charramal..

I am a bicolana so at least I know how to cook Bicol Express and Laing. My hubby is so addicted to bicol express to the point that he cooks it every weekend in Louisiana. Alright, .here we go ...

Bicol Express

∞Coconut Milk

∞Pork

∞onion,ginger and garlic (crashed)

∞pepper (the long one, cut into pieces)

∞fish paste (bagoong) you will find this in asian stores in States, if you have nearest one)

∞seasoning /salt

First, cut the meat into cubes, and crashed the onions, garlic and ginger. Cut also the pepper.

after everything is cut and sliced, heat the coconut milk and continuously stir it mix with it the onions, garlic and ginger and fish paste. If you don't stir it, it will solidify. when it's already boiling put meat, wait for it to get soft and balance the taste and add the pepper. The point of not mixing the pepper early is that, it will be very vegetable to look at once you are done cooking. If you put it once the meat is already soft, your Bicol express will be very colorful to look at.

LAING

∞you will be needing elephant leaves (from wiki) for Gabi leaves.

∞coconut milk

∞meat

∞garlic,onions,ginger

∞pepper if you want to have spicy taste

∞bagoong

∞sometimes we put small shirmp

∞and most of the time too we put a seasoning to have a soury taste of the laing.

There are 2 ways to cook laing, the Dry one and the fresh one. If you choose to cook dry you will have to put under the sun your gabi leaves until the leaves gets dry then roll it and cut it into fine portions and if it's the fresh one you will just roll the leaves too and start cutting it into fine portions. Then boil the coconut milk mix the meat, onions, garlics, shrimp, fish paste. Once its boiling, put the gabi leaves and wait for it to have it's darkest green color then put the pepper and seasoning. have your desire taste, and there it goes.
