We are looking through I-130 Form , and here is a question about the evidence of marrige. Do you think the kid's birth certificates (we have 2 of them together) and the medical insurance for both my and my husband will be enough?

The thing is all the property is on his name as well as bank accounts and bills ( I do not have SSN ).

My name is currently on the Gas & electric bil, bank account, his life insurance, and i think i'm also on our water bill...that's all for now...once i get EAD & ssn we'll try getting health insurance (only the kids have it now) and putting me on his car insurance...do you think this will be enough for interview along with photos, kids birth certificates and maybe a letter from our pastor...

hi, hi, I am from central Jersey. :)

I am planning to get the same things by the time of the interview. I think having kids together IS a big evidence ( just using common sence  )

I kept my maiden name, too. It was just so much of a headache to change it to my husband's on everything at the time. I don't think it should be a problem, they probably can ask you why did you decide to keep it during the interview, but I never heard about this being an issue.

My wife and I are also like that. We still have separate checking accounts and most of the bills are in her name (we have very few bills because our apartment rent includes all utilities). We do have a son and the car and lease are in both our names. We each have our own health insurance because we work in different companies.

I read somewhere here where they gave a lot of trouble to a couple who don't have joint bank accounts, as if that is the litmus test for a bona fide marriage.

Sounds good, I hope it won't be an issue.
