Hi there Visa Journey, I hope everyone is ok!

I'm filling out the AOS with my husband and I've reached the Affidavit of support. My husband is currently has a job and is working and I'm not sure if I should fill out the I-865A as he does not have any tax returns (he just got into the us this year!). Should I just fill out the I-865, I'm very sure I meet the requirement for the poverty guidelines by myself. However I would like to put his income down as well. What should I do?

Thanks so much!

Shannon

Me and my wife (sponsor) both earn more than the minimum required by ourselves. I posed this question before on this forum. Though I received mixed answers, I went with just using my wife's income for the affidavit of support. I just submitted my AOS last month so I can't say if this would work or not, but technically, it should.

I would suggest just doing the bare minumim. The more things you include, the bigger the chance CIS will screw it or lose it, or be totally confused and ask for more info.

If you are sure that you cover the income requirements, then there's no need to include your husband's income. Less work for you and CIS, everybody is happy.
