I know ill receive a packet or something telling what paperwork ill need to collect. Does anyone know what paperwork it is? Id like to start getting everything ready as things in my country seem to take forever to get a hold of.

I found also more info about K3 Visa on the website of the U.S. Department of State:

Applying for a Visa

The embassy or consulate where you, the spouse of an American citizen, will apply for a K-3 visa must be in the country where your marriage took place. Here are the procedures to apply. The embassy or consulate will let you know any additional things to do, such as where you need to go for the required medical examination. During the interview process, an ink-free, digital fingerprint scan will be taken. Some visa applications require further administrative processing, which takes additional time after the visa applicant’s interview by a Consular Officer. The following is required:

Two copies of form DS-156, Nonimmigrant Visa Application

One DS-156K, Nonimmigrant Fiancé(e) Visa Application form

Police certificates from all places lived in since the age of 16

Birth certificates

Marriage certificate for spouse

Death and divorce certificates from any previous spouses

Medical examination (except vaccinations)

A passport valid for travel to the United States and with a validity date at least six months beyond the applicant's intended period of stay in the United States (unless country-specific agreements provide exemptions).

My hubby filed my I-129F at California Service Center. He hasn´t done anything special, the California Service Center processed I-129F applications very fast till the middle of August 2008. Since then the CSC started receiving transferred applications from Vermont Service Center. Vermont Service Center was working very slow so the USCIS decided to transfer some K1,K3, IR1/CR1 Visas to CSC. That´s the reason the CSC is slow now as well.

When you learn that your I-129f is approved, please do the following:

scream out loud... WE"RE APPROVED WE'RE APPROVED!!!! (please feel free to jump up and down while saying this)

Next, call your SO and yell the above

Then after you sit for a moment and realize that you are over the peak of waiting and on the way downhill:

check the guidelines and start studying on how to get your petition thru NVC fast.

hee!

I hoep you are approved quickly and you guys are reunited soon!

Lisa

"you fondle my trigger then you blame my gun"

Timeline: 13 month long journey from filing to visa in hand

If you were lucky and got an approval and reunion with your loved one rather quickly; Please refrain from telling people who waited 6+ months just to get out of a service center to "chill out" or to "stop whining" It's insensitive, and unecessary. Once you walk a mile in their shoes you will understand and be heard.

Thanks!
