Ash - My ex lives down the street from me too, but I'd rather walk the 12 miles to work, then ever call him to help me :P

 Well I'd say the same but it's like 29 miles one way to work, if I started walking now I might get there some time next month lol

Weird I suppose, but it works well because of our son - we live down the street from each other and we work together, we've actually become good friends and he and Jihed get along well too, what are the odds? lol

It's good to know that I'm not alone Bridget!! I never do my taxes on time LOL

GOOD MORNING MENA!!

OMG MY HUSBAND LOVES "IT"

He loves any scary thrasher movies...it is his request that I bring some when I get over there...which I hope would be at Christmas....omg I cant believe I have to travel there again and still probably not bringing him home.

I mean dont get me wrong...I love traveling there...no problems..I just thought that by NOW we'd be done with this back and forth thing.

Zaid's Mommy...well BABA I thought meant his bottle but you know what...BABA means father too in Arabic..no?

well anyway that is what my husband asked my daughter to call him....he is her step father but I think Baba is so sweet. Always loved that, even in India, Baba means father to some.

So have a great day all and I am WITH YOU..only 3 more working days (WAIT! I am off on Friday for a dental appt)

YEAH ME!!! 2 working days till WEEKEND...where are the days going???? omg

I am still having too much trouble posting pix on here..it is so frustrating

I am computer illiterate...dysfunctional...

and as far as CHICAGO..as far as murders, shootings and atrocities against children..can anyone beat PHILADELPHIA???

WOW! That will NEVER happen for me. My ex still wont give me my basement key back. Seems my parents saw him doing laundry several months ago when I was in Morocco. :ranting:

I asked him what he was going to do when my new husband was here - do laundry together??:devil:

Tasha...that sucks you are so sick...yuck...get better soon!

Last night, at first I was like "EWW" but a friend of mine rented P.S. I LOVE YOU!...omgggggggg

I said to her..."are you trying to kill me?" She is sitting there crying about all this lovey dovey stuff and I said

" I cant cry anymore, all cried out over my OWN love story" awwwwwwww anyway

Star..how your teeth feeling?? I forgot to tell you my daughter had them a month ago and well, she actually handled the pain like a trooper, she barely complained about it...and I remember that ####...painful...so hopefully that is subsiding for ya

I see some props going out to DEB AND BRNI...mmm I think I missed something so :dance:

ok ok time to get started with some work

Let me ask, why is that we DIVORCE men we cant stand to live with and be around yet we live right down the street from each other??? Literally had the same situation with my Ex...then I moved basically out of country for a while only to end up still living, not on the same block as before, but down the street...omg...

Ash, how did Jihed handle that??? My husband, although he accepts the PARENTAL relationship we need to keep

he does not want us ALONE or even near each other for that matter

I saw the video Kelly, he says it pretty good!!! Just wait, the peace and quiet is over with now! Have fun, this is such a fun age. I got the hiccups the other night and Malek thought it was the most funniest thing. He was holding his belly laughing and he would even say ohhhhh after he would laugh from it hurting!!

What is it about that?? when my ex moved out 2 years ago, I asked him where his new apartment was. It was down the street. Sheesh. So much for getting away from home. Same street but abour 4 blocks down. I have no kids, so need to be nice to my ex

He handles it really well. Jihed is super mature and secure and those things don't bother him. My ex is a pretty friendly guy, very funny and they get along well. We had some issues with Aaron not sure where his place in the house was and what his thoughts were on Jihed and my ex put it all to rest and we had a sit down family meeting, the four of us and my ex explained to Aaron that Jihed was his step father and that his position deserved the same respect that Aaron gives to my ex. We work together so Jihed not wanting us "alone together" or together without Jihed present would not be a possibility. I have a great ex father in law too that still calls me his daughter to our business customers and is very generous with me as a boss, regarding his treatment of me, absences I need when Aaron is sick and even taking off more than a month to go to Tunisia before Jihed arrived. My ex mother in law watches Aaron in the mornings before school and after school. I drop him off to her at 7am and she takes him in at 9:30am and and picks up him at 3:30 and I pick him up at 5, so I'm even in their house every other week and she sends dinner home for us (Jihed and I) We see her in the pharmacy and grocery store around town and she is super friendly. My ex father in law even tried to find Jihed a job when he first got here and was struggling. I suppose we are lucky that we all have really wonderful working relationships, but I don't think I would want it any other way because I feel that Aaron benefits tremendously from this situation. I don't want to think how hard it would be on him to have his step father and mother pitted against his father and the drama that would surely ensue from it. I know there was a mena conversation about ex's and step fathers, kids, etc and a lot of people felt that the ex and the current had no business knowing each other or being around each other, but this is our situation and it works very well for us and I thank god for that every single day! :D

Morning MENA! (F)

Wow, Terrie...Happy Early Anniversary!! Even if he's working....a special dinner when he's off or later on will be nice. You're the best! (F)

Ash...I'm awake ya majnoonah :) I was late to work AGAIN! LOL Zain decided that being awake at 4am was fun and wanted to play...hmm. So we fell asleep around 530am and I woke up late :P

Kelz...LOL I think Zain wanted to camp out with you guys...he woke up in honor of you and Zaid! Tell Zaid to stop sending vibes like that....my kid used to sleep thru the night!

Deb...YAY again and again! Brni too :)

Sandrilla....Ash's situation is not unique. I know many families who make it work (including how I grew up). Parents together w/ new step parents. Thats the way to go and I believe that Aaron is so well adjusted because of it. He's the friendliest kid you will ever meet and happiest in my opinion...he gets double the love! Ash's ex is a really friendly guy although I do love to pick on him...:P I think its all about leaving the baggage that the parents have behind and putting the kids first. Its very hard for many but it can be done and its incredible how well adjusted children can be through these situations. As for being alone together...why would a new hubby or wife not trust these situations? That's beyond me. Just my opinion from personal experience.

On another note...thank god its Wednesday...you have no idea who SLOW this darn week is going. :P

Is it Friday yet????

(F) OLIVIA (F) I am always happy to see you around!! Good luck on your exams.
