By the way, I have heard a number of people say that the online case status thing is completely unreliable. Many cases are never entered and the ones that are are almost never updated. Ours still stays "We received your case and it is in processing, blah, blah, blah." But as you can see, we have received Milena's interview letter and are awaiting 12 February on pins and needles!

Just cleaning up a bit! Is it too premature to start talking about what to take to the interview? I have heard people say they take evidence of a bona fide relationship such as joint accounts and pictures, but the interview letter doesn't say anything about that...it just says to send whatever you sent with your application, such as birth certificate, marriage certificate, passports, and Green Card! We will probably take the evidence of a bona fide relationship just in case. :)

Also, I suppose proof of travel is also a good idea, if we have it. Otherwise, just my wife's passport with entry and exit stamps. Good luck everyone! US history and civics has now become a big topic at our dinner table!

Hi all,

I just joined....Here is my status

Service Center : Vermont Service Center

Local office: Newark, NJ

Date Filed : 2008-10-21

NOA Date : 2008-10-31 (transffered to NBC)

I haven't heard anything else from USCIS. Anyone know why applications get transffered to NBC?

According to this web site...

"The NBC was established to serve as the hub and conduit for USCIS local field offices by completing all pre-interview processing of Forms generally requiring an interview. This pre-processing includes conducting background security checks."

My case status was showing up online until recently. However today when I try to check the status it says that it 'Your case can not be found at this time in Case Status Online' and that there is a validation error...any one experiencing the same problem? I do not know what to make of it. Any information is appreciated.

I recently (October) had a biometrics appointment for renewing my green card. So another one may not be needed for N-400

Exactly. there are other threads on this, but from what I understand, you will receive a biometrics appointment letter only if you do not have them on file. If they expire, you will receive a letter at that time.

So you just have to wait for the interview letter!!! Good luck!

i got my interview appointmnet in mail today interview on feb 09

LPR--12/29/2003

12/15/2004- civil wedding in kenya

10/12/2005-sent i-130

01/13/2006- received and given priority date.

waiting 2006/2007/2008

09/30/2008-- sent N400 for self

11/06/2008--biometrics

02/09/2009--passed interview but lady told me to got back with selective servise registration.

03/31/2009-oath ceremony dallas

03/31/2009--sent upgrade request via usps priority mail/fax/and called in

04/05/2009-called nvc automated system show case number shows visa number not available

04/17/2009--case number generated by nvc

04/21/2009--received ds3032 and AOS bill generated --happy

04/21/2009--paid aos bill-status pending

04/22/2009-sent ds3032 via email

04/23/2009-aos shows paid online

04/24/2009-sent 1-864 via usps mail--automated system indicate received ds-3032 on 04/23/2009

04/25/2009-iv bill generated and paid same day -in process

04/28/2009 status paid-printed coversheet and sent ds-230 usps next day

5/11/2009-two emails received -missing ds-230--cant log in website also

05/13/2009-called avr msg case completed on 05/12/2009[/b][/color]=25 days

06/03/2009=interview assisgned date 07/21/2009 7.00am nairobi kenya

07/21--interview approved to pick on 07/23 travel 07/24

07/25 6.30pm-hugged my wife dfw airport -thank God its over
