The officer asked me 6 questions, read and write simple sentences, went through my file, made me sign some papers, then congratulated me. BUT, unfortunately, she told me that all the people who passed the test today have to wait for a "special" oath ceremony :crying: Now I have to wait for the Oath letter.

What kind of "special" oath ceremony is that going to be? Are you going to be sworn in by the President?

You got me thinking now... I also had to wait a little longer (too long for my taste) for my oath ceremony, even though they do/did same day (next day and so on) ceremonies, I wonder if they are planning something special for it. Will take my supa duppa special camera... just in case!

Yahooo, almost done just waiting for Oath Ceremony.

Appt for 9am, got there at 9am, Got called 9:10am out by 9:40 , interview went really nice, IT made a big different my husband was there in the waiting room, was told it supports the petition and also it case we need futher info he's right there since the petition is based on Marriage.

Made a couple of mistakes but didn't caused an RFE or to come back,

1) Make sure you bring updated information at the interview, in all the excitement we just brought the original of the items we sent in with the N400 but forgot to bring latest info.

2) Even though We selected option 1 the old test, my wife got the new test, instructed to write down Christopher Columbus. the rest was just basic chit chat and it was all done.

Just waiting for the OATH ceremony date by mail

Good luck to ALL

Congrats!

We go on Thursday. Kind of nervous. What do you mean about the most updated info? The interview letter says to bring my US birth certificate, my wife's foreign birth certificate, and our wedding certificate. But I have also heard that we should bring all evidence of a continuing bona fide marriage. Also, will they have the copy of the N-400 form we sent last October or do we have to bring another one?

Fingers crossed. We have waited so long that I sure hope we don't mess up on the paperwork!!!

They requested the latest Bank info, latest pay stubs, or latest bills or updated info of the items you sent with the N400 if available, we only took a copy of the items we sent with the N400 application, the interview was requested latest bank statements, asked if she pays taxes, overall it was a very friendly interview, more like chit chat. The interview mentioned it's a big plus your husband is with you it validates the petition since it's based on Marriage.

Even though we selected the old test interview format, my wife got the interview under the new format, but it wasn't a big deal. Asked who discovery american and to write down Chrisptopher Columbus.

People who applied from October and on don't have the choice between the old and new test. They have to take the new test.

My wife and I had our Naturalization Interview today. Everything went smoothly. We didn't have to submit any documents. I mentioned a ticket I had received and the IO made a note. All the questions were straightforward. We are waiting for the Oath letter. Thomas, You don't need to turn in a copy of your N-400. The IO will review the application and and verify the entries with you. But it doesn't hurt to have a copy with you (I did).

Good Luck.
