no one in their right mind is proposing that. what should have been done, as opposed to this judge's aactikon, is let the process go on as is. there is a process for registration. a process for registration validation. a proces for checking who can vote at a poll.

any indication of fraud should be dealt on a case by case basis.

any idea how many fraudulent votes might have come about? besides that Bruce Wayne character that is.

this logic is akin to our justice system's "innocent until proven guilty". that, my frind, is the American way.

IIRC, in the Saurebrey/Glendenning governorial race in Maryland in the early 90's, a federal election commission investigation determined that voting districts in the northern precincts of Baltimore City gave 106% returns, 97% in favour of Glendenning, the democratic candidate. the FEC investigation was triggered by a statewide return differential of less than 1/4%. by this time these results were presented, Glendenning was already seated. don't wanna let that happen again, do we?

poll operators can and will lock the door just before the end of the day and pull the lever a bunch of times if their free housing, education, food, and medical care are at stake. where there is a will, there is a way.
