Police Clearance question !! Please help.

I am a Canadian citizen and married my wife who is a USC. I am in the process of completing the DS-230 form and was wondering if I require a PCC only from from Ottawa (where I currently reside) and/or also from my previous country of citizenship (India)?

Any help would be much appreciated.

I believe you need a clearance from any country you have lived in longer than six months since the age of 16.

I lived in Toronto for about 2 years before I moved to Ottawa, Do I need a PCC from TO too? (not sure if TO is considered a different region from Ottawa)

No. You just need one police clearance. As long as it says "Canada-wide" you're good to go.

Get one from RCMP it is a national police cert.

You will also have to get a certificate from the Indian Consulate in Toronto , saying no negative records ..( This is for the PCC In India)
