my hubby has seen the first 3 of the Saw movies and he said the first one had a good storyline etc.. but with the 2nd even he had to turn away a few times because it was too gory...

I like a good horror, but I mean ones like The Grudge or The Ring (or even the old ones like Hallowe'en or Elm Street). What I don't like are ones like Saw and Hostel. I don't class them as horror but violence porn.

Horror is supposed to be suspenseful and leave some to your imagination. The current trend doesn't do that.

But when we turn to the Hebrew literature, we do not find such jokes about the donkey. Rather the animal is known for its strength and its loyalty to its master (Genesis 49:14; Numbers 22:30).

is The Ring considered horror?? I thought it was more of a creepy thriller...

to me horror is blood and gore movies....

I think of them more the other way around: horror would be films dealing with supernatural evils, whether or not blood and gore are involved. Thrillers would involve more human evil. Of course, those aren't water-tight categories; there is a lot of overlap.

And, yes, I like horror films (and thrillers)

I like the classic old horror movies, you know, the ones with the dated, comical special effects starring Lon Chaney. And the Hammer horror films with Peter Cushing and Christopher Lee.

Prince of Darkness is my fav

I love them, and I liked Hostel and the Saw too.

I do like the Saw series. Hostel was a train wreck that I find myself watching over and over again....like maybe one of the times those guys will get a clue.

Life's just a crazy ride on a run away train

You can't go back for what you've missed

So make it count, hold on tight find a way to make it right

You only get one trip

So make it good, make it last 'cause it all flies by so fast

You only get one trip

No, I don't like them at all. I get creeped out too easily and the gore also grosses me out too much. I have never actually watched a really scary movie because I didn't even want to go there. Previews are enough for me to know that I don't want to watch them. :P No nightmares please.
