NVC can't give me a straight answer if my papers have been mailed to the embassy yet.

They do say that the appointment letter was mailed last week though. The AVR still hasn't changed and is still saying the "found information missing" (DS-230 missing fake RFE).

Our case was scheduled on the first day of the cycle, last Monday, and according to DHL some packets have already been mailed out last Tues/Wednesday (some to Moscow). Those papers have all been received.

So I'm going to try and call the embassy tomorrow morning and see if I can:

- Verify that my CR1 case papers have been received.

- Change the interview date.

I don't think I can change the date until embassy has papers on hand...so will I be able to talk to a human being who can tell me if they have our papers already?

Thanks,

Andrei

Since you already have a schedule your papers are already en route to Russia, I don't any reason why you cannot reschedule interview even without your papers there.

Well, our K3 interview date is set for Oct 29th so we're trying to interview on that date for CR1. I just didn't want to call the embassy and start changing things without papers being there already or en route (the CR1 interview is set for Nov 18th, so who knows how long NVC may take to send the docs out).

The one thing that NVC did tell me was that the interview appointment letter was mailed to us on the Oct 10th. Do they usually mail those appt letters and papers to embassy on the same day?

I can't say if they do that with the Moscow US Embassy (I'm assuming the beneficiary is in Moscow), but the NVC mailed my appointment letter to the Manila US Embassy first. And the Manila US Embassy then mailed the letter to me. That process took two weeks from the date stated in the letter. So that gives you some sort of idea. Good thing my wife in the US was my agent and she scanned her copy and emailed it to me immediately.
